Marcela looked around her plain dorm room, the sparse amount of decorations made it seem like a hotel room. She sighed, Marci had never really been good at decorating, the only things in the room that really screamed her were the medical cabinet and the bookcase. When a cabinet holding band-aids, braces, gauze, etc. was one of the only things that was personal, it's kind of sad. Scowling Marci stomped over to her closet, she was not just going to sit around all day in this boring room. She grabbed out a knee length grey coat and threw it on over a Victorian style shirt and a pair of white skinny pants. She threw open her door and let it slam shut, already half way down the hall. Marci headed for the doors to the grounds of the school, bounding down a couple flights of stairs to get to them. She tugged open the doors and sighed as she breathed in the clear fresh outside air. Her fine copper hair billowed slightly in the wind. Rippling like this in the bright winter sun her hair resembled liquid copper and her eyes seemed to be stormy seas. Marcela strolled happily toward the forest, her previously black mood already forgotten. As soon as she crossed the boundary line between the grass and the forest Marci could feel the difference. The air was calmer, cooler and it was much darker here; it was beautiful. She scanned the trees in front of her briefly before deciding on one that would work. Marci wove her way through the other trees before reaching the one she had picked out, and looking up at it. She grabbed the branch above her and pulled her feet up and then proceeded to climb from branch to branch until she was about fifteen feet up. Marci rotated on the branch until her back was pressed up against the trunk and a leg hung on either side of the branch. She looked over at the school and smiled, this was certainly better than sitting in her dorm room. Marcela dug into the pockets of her coat until she found her package of cherry halls. “The view’s nice from up here.” She muttered to herself before popping the cough drop in her mouth.

The forest was one place where it didn't matter what you were, it didn't matter what you looked like or how you acted. Everybody was on equal footing here, there was no status quo. There was not good or bad and everybody was suseptible to the dangers of the forest. Maybe that was why it appealed to her? Because she did not have to fit in and she did not have to attempt to have some small particle of control over the demon inside of her. In this forest she was exempt, and being exempt made her feel safe, secure in ways she had not felt since she first turned seventeen.
Because it was surreal nothing was ever unexpected, for this was a kind of place in whichhyou expected strange things to happen and you would not be suprised when they did. It was places like this that were the essence of fairytales, of fears. It was places like this that were the very essence of who Bj was, or atleast, who she could become.
Despite her thoughts when she heard someone speak and when she heard the rustle of a package - which sounded out of place within a place where silence was everything - she could not help herself but to jup slightly. Being broken from her reverie she looked up, the girl sitting above her was a human and had obviously been as unaware of Bella as Bella was of she. A small smile played across her lips but that may have been only to diguise the true fear. Bella did not want to hurt this girl but at the moment there was no saying what she might become. She had no control of her 'other half' at the momet. Humans were so very .. fragile.
"Erm. Hello? Sorry if i disturbed you, or ... something." Of course her words were slightly hesitant and awkward. They always were when she was unsure of a situation and unsure on the amount of control she held over herself. If she was not careful, she could burn the forest down and it was obvious that people would not be impressed with that.

Marcela reveled in the quiet of the forest. It wasn’t often she allowed herself to be still but this, this was worth it. The wind tugged softly at her hair and she smiled. The forest seemed to be alive in a way. Marci wondered how old the forest was, how long had these trees been here. They weren’t as tall as some old forest trees were but there was something that just seemed ancient about the place, unchanging. She swung her legs lightly until she heard a crack beneath her.
Erm. Hello? Sorry if I disturbed you, or ... something.
Marci debated with herself for a moment. She really didn’t want to make friends at this place, she had friends back in Chicago. On the other hand she was so incredibly bored and she wasn’t going to be going back home for a while. Shrugging internally, she made her descision. Marci looked down and smiled at the girl a few branches below her.
“Not at all, I was getting bored anyway.” Swinging one leg over the branch she was sitting on Marci stepped from branch to branch until she got to where the other girl was sitting. She had done it a bit too quickly and almost fell at one point but she had grabbed onto a nearby branch and steadied herself. That was so like Marcela, plunging head first into something without considering what could happen. Marci plopped down on the branch and turned to the girl. Offering her hand Marci introduced herself.
“Hello there, I’m Marci.”

Bella continued to crane her neck, the other girl was up, many branches above her. Although there was much a danger of falling off this girl did not seem to mind or even be afraid of the danger, she seemed to be able to balance herself without a care in the world. It was almost frightning to see how careless she was about her own safety. Bella was one who took safety very seriously - although not her safety, the safety of those around her. It was almost enchanting to see this girl for if she fell, nobody would ever know about it and she could die before anyone ever found her. A scary thought? Perhaps Bella was just being a little pessimistic.
Watching her descent with careful eyes Bella noticed when she lost her footing and almost fell, she kept seeing in her head the vision of an unknown human falling to her death. It would not matter so much if it was a vampire, werewolf or even a demon because they had such better reflexes and were no where near as fragile as human. But this girl ... it made Bella sick just to think of what could happen. The girl - Marci, as she introduced herself - offered Bella her hand and she extended her own and shook it. "Nice to meet you, i'm Bella." She said with a slight smile.
Vaguely she glanced around, her eyes looking at the dark forest and then back to Marci. Her smile seemed to almost falter before she regained her composure and kept the smile back on her lips. "So, what are you doing out here?" She said with light curisoity in her voice.

Marci grinned inwardly when she saw the girl wince as she started to fall. She really had no problem with navigating the high branches; yeah it was dangerous but so what. It wasn’t as if she’d feel it if she fell. The girl’s concern was touching but not really necessary. It wasn't going to hurt her, so what was the point in worrying? Marci smiled at Bella, as the girl introduced herself. She seemed nice enough, even if she was a little twitchy. Marci guessed Bella might still be worrying about her little stumble. Bella’s branch was lower than Marci’s had been so they were about ten feet off the ground. Barring that she didn’t hit at an angle that would break her spinal cord she wasn’t too worried about what would happen if she fell. She had fallen from higher before. Marci shrugged at the other girl’s question.
“Eh, I was bored just sitting in my room. I just got here so I have nothing to do yet.” Marci practically moaned. If there was one thing she couldn’t stand it was being bored or still. She always felt like she had to keep going and sitting in her room had not been fun. She hated staying inside all the time. The best thrills were always outside. Marci raised an eyebrow at Bella.
“I could ask you the same thing.” The corners of her mouth were turned up in a slight smile. “In fact I think I will, what are you doing out here?” At this point Marci was grinning. It seemed like she was more willing to make friends today than she was usually.

To see somebody so careless was almost entrancing and made BJ wish that she could be the same. But it was different between the two, for with Marci being careless the only person she would injure was herself, but if Bella was careless? Well that little number held a multitude of consequences, none of which would bear well for the new demon. Hurting other people was something she didn't seem to be able to help, it was as if it was an addiction and though the majority of her self rebelled against the very idea of somebody in pain, there was a small part of her - a newer part, that revelled in the idea of hurting people. That part scared her for she knew it was some manifestation of her demon self and from those she had attempted to speak to around the school that they all had the same attitude that carelessness that enjoyed people getting hurt. Bella didn't become that, but she feared it was inevitable.
As she spoke her reason for being here, BJ couldn't help but let a small smile play upon her lips. "You're new? Me too, but its nothing like i expected." She could not help the drip of bitterness that infected her voice at the end of the sentence but she tried to make it dissapear before she turned the whole conversation into an unpleasant experience. There was an enthusiasm in Marci's voice that did not fail to make Bella smile as she almost demanded that Bella say why she had come here, the truth was she did not really know herself. "I came out here to clear my head." She said with half a smile playing upon her lips.

You're new? Me too, but it’s nothing like I expected.
Marci cocked her head at the bitterness of Bella’s tone. Apparently the other girl was unsatisfied with Forevermore for some reason. Marci knew that there were indeed several things that a person wouldn’t be to thrilled about at this school but this seemed different. The few people she had met when moving in had seemed scared not bitter. Marci wanted to know what Bella was unhappy with but at the same time didn’t want to pry. She nodded slightly and shrugged.
“It’s not the friendliest of places, is it?” She settled on saying. That was true enough; humans were apparently classified as vermin by most people. Marci didn’t really care what other people thought of her and didn’t mind that she was ignored by the other species. Yes, she had only run into a few people other then those who lived on her floor of the dorms but she could tell. Humans were looked down upon in a place filled with other species. She was in a minority here.
“Hmm, yes I suppose this is the place to do that.” Marcela responded to Bella’s answer. She glanced around her, taking in the dark peaceful setting. “It seems very old here, unchanging.” She murmured, talking more to herself than Bella at that point. She wondered how something could give off such a sense of tranquility and at the same time be filled with death and, though it was a unfamiliar concept, pain.
