Sometimes, class was just torture to sit through, and today just happened to be one of those days. But trig was always boring, at least to Saphira it was. She really didn’t see what the point of it was, or how it would ever help you. Almost since she had walked into the classroom, she had been staring at the clock, while trying to be nice and polite to the professor at the same time. Which was not the easiest thing to do in the world, because most teachers didn’t like you staring at the clock, for some reason they thought that their subject was the most important in the world and that everyone should love it. Or at least it seemed that way.
BRRIING. BRRING. The bell rang, singling the end of the class period, and thankfully the end of the school day also. Quickly, Saphira got up, almost running out the door. She was half tempted to turn into a monkey and go out that way, but she didn’t really have a change of clothes with her and she had never mastered the art of changing her clothes along with her. She wasn’t even sure if it was possible. As soon as she was out of the classroom she sighed, glad to be free of the teacher and classroom. She was just glad that she hadn’t brought anything to class, then she would have had to take longer in leaving.
Staring to walk, she headed in the direction of her dorm, deciding that she should probably be carrying her pack, the one that always carried extra clothes in it, in case she felt the urge to shape-shift. She was never very good with staying in human form for very long, she felt more comfortable as a monkey. A black spider monkey to be exact, and she liked to point it out a lot. It didn’t take her long to get to her room, and as soon as she did, she swung open her door, and grabbed her monkey-sized pack already ready to go, and threw it over her shoulder, slamming the door shut on her way back out. There was no way she would keep her door open for anyone to walk right in, not that a door just being closed would really stop them anyway if they really wanted to get in.
Nearing the main doors of the school, Saphira double checked to make sure that her change of clothes was really in the bag. They were. Smiling, she opened the doors and walked outside. Now she just had to figure out where to go, and what to do. Well, whatever it was, she didn’t want to be in this form when she did, so she quickly shifted into a monkey, her clothes falling off in the process. The monkey her picked them all up, and quickly shoved them into the pack, and put the pack on her back. That was the good thing about being a monkey; you could still do some things that humans did similarly to the way they did them. Though she was now walking on all fours, and occasionally on only two legs, and a lot of jumping, as she made her way off of the grounds, and into the streets of the city. At least it wasn’t like a monkey in the middle of the street was that surprising.
As she continued walking down the streets, she steered off of them, going into the grass and away from the main part of town where people actually were. She walked for a little bit longer, until she came to an almost deserted looking place that had a few trees surrounding it. It was an old house that from the outside almost looked like it was about to fall apart, but she knew that was only an illusion. Going up to it, Saphira stood up and stretched to be able to reach the handle, and opened the door, letting herself into the hideout. Setting her pack on the ground, she jumped onto the couch on one side of the room. Inside the hideout it looked much better, like an actually house, just one that had a more dark and gloomy atmosphere that Saphira loved. Letting her eyes scan the room, they fell on the desk, with a bunch of papers on it. Getting up off the couch, Saphira made her way over to the desk, climbing onto the chair so that she could see what was on it. one thing she was glad about being in monkey form, was that she could still read. She might not be able to talk to anyone or write anything, but she could still read. There were papers and pictures of different people all over the desk, all of possible victims, and Saphira hadn’t known about some of them, finding one that looked interesting, she started reading the profile on the person, standing up on the chair to read it. A monkey reading papers, that isn’t strange at all, right?

Annabelle had flitted into class a few minutes early, a common practice she had grown accustomed to, and began situating herself in her workplace for the next class period. When it came to schoolwork, and work in general, she was completely obsessively compulsive. Everything had to be right and neat and easy to grab so that she could maximize what she was to take from this class. After all, she adored Mythology. Why wouldn't she? Elle was practically a piece torn from the books anyway. This was usually mostly a human class, after all, why did the creatures people thought to have been imaginary need to learn about their preconceived ancestors? Well, Elle liked to think of it as understanding all species, and besides, it was an interesting easy A. She loved learning about how the humans had completely messed up their ideas of fairies and such.
So, as the bell rang and the last of the stragglers had entered the class, the professor began roll and started teaching soonafter. Today was about human's ideas of wolves and werewolves. Not exactly the Roman and Greek mythology that Elle had signed up to learn about. In fact, she really didn't like the hind-legged furballs. They disgusted her to a degree. She was fine with some as people, but a few werewolves, well, you couldn't tell any behavioral differences between human and wolf form. They were dirty pigs, the complete opposite of the well-mannered and neat Annabelle Thorne. Besides, she already knew most of what was needed to know about the different species that roamed the halls of Forevermore Academy. It was her job. She knew the strengths, weaknesses, and basic practices of each individual residing in this building.
Thus, she resorted to pulling out her Chemistry notebook, which she had strategically placed under her Mythology text and began working on her equations that she needed to balance for the set of problems they were to receive the next day. It took her about three-quarters of the class to balance thirty of them. They were actually simple, and she enjoyed balancing equations. So, she decided to doodle and plan out the rest of her day. She didn't really have anything to do, so she may go back and take a nap. However, she quickly remembered the files of students she needed to look over at the hideout. So, as the bell rung, she flitted out of the classroom, still shoving things in her outfit-matching bag and flew towards her dorm. Upon arrival, she darted inside and slowed her pace. She was in no rush as she reorganized her books onto her shelf marked "school books" and changed into a pair of denim jeans, orange flats, and a matching orange sweater.
Finishing up, she flew out of the door and headed towards the hideout, on the other side of town. As she crossed the grounds gracefully, heading towards the gate, she cloaked herself, becoming undetectable to the human eye. After all, what human loved seeing a fairy flying through town. Besides, where she was going and why was a secret. Only humans would be in the part of town where her destination lie. Making sure she wasn't noticed by any other creature, she made the turn towards the hideout and continued her short journey, locking eyes on a rusted over, crumpling old house. Finishing at the door step, she landed as she twisted the knob, revealing a rather somber, yet quaint, old home. One would never guess that the inside looked so nice according to the disheveled appearance of the outside. Looking around, she noticed the monkey reviewing the files and walked gracefully towards her, careful not to disturb her fellow squad member, Saphira Bellato. "I think that a few have been added since the last time we all met," Elle said quietly, grabbing one file that didn't play to her interests too well.

Saphira barley noticed the sound of the door opening, she was busy reading up on different possibilities of who to put in the next game that she was working with Remy. It was almost surprising how many people could easily be put in the games. Actually, it wasn’t really, not to Saphira at least, maybe to other people at the school though. She didn’t find it surprising one bit that so many people were complete idiots and couldn’t stay out of trouble or learn to appreciate life. But she also hated the majority of the school population and found most of their company annoying and mind-deteriorating.
She didn’t bother turning around when the person walked in, because she knew it had to be a squad member. No one else could get in, it just wasn’t possible. And she didn’t really consider most squad members a threat to her, she did a pretty good job at staying on people’s good sides normally. Though some people did find her little sweet and innocent act annoying, but it wasn’t possible to please everyone, no matter how hard you tried.
Hearing the person speak, she knew who it was. Annabelle Thorne. She raised her monkey arm and gave a small wave to show that she knew that she was there, and glanced up from the papers giving her a smile, a monkey smile. The main problem about being in monkey form was that she couldn’t talk at all, unless it was to another monkey. She could understand people, she just couldn’t talk back and her handwriting sucked, it always looked like chicken scratch when she tried to write in monkey form.
Jumping down from the chair that she was on, she ran over to her pack, putting it on and escaping into another room. Getting her clothes out of the pack she put them on her monkey-self as best she could before changing back into her human form. That was the closest that she could get to keeping her clothes on as she changed forms, and she wasn’t sure if she could get past that or not, but she was always trying, just with clothes that she didn’t care about, since when she first started, her clothes kept getting ruined.
Walking back into the room that she had just left, it was only a matter of seconds later, she had been getting much faster at changing lately. ”Hello Elle.” she smiled, walking over to the girl and sitting back down in the seat where she had been sitting before as a monkey. ”What exactly did you mean by you think a few have been added since the last time we all meant? I wasn’t paying that much attention, I was finishing up reading this file.” she told her, pointing towards the open file on one of the possible participants.

Flipping the file around in her hands, pulling the picture out and frowning, Elle noticed the monkey raise a hand to her. She didn't care to much for the ball of fur, but she did like Saphira. Something about furry creatures didn't appeal to her. Elle enjoyed her creatures, mostly men, clean and shaven. She especially didn't like them leaving hair behind as reminder of their presence. It just wasn't right. You were supposed to keep the hair on your body and that was that. Leaving it around for someone else to clean was just plain rude, no matter how intelligent a creature you were. However, given that monkeys weren't too bad and she actually liked the girl behind the monkey, she was willing to forgo her opinions and not pass judgement. On werewolves, however, no matter who they were practically, Elle would be the first to judge.
After all, they practically behaved like wolves while in human form. Why should she associate herself with those animals? It wasn't as much the furriness behind them, but their mannerisms and behavior were deplorable. It was simply horrid. Yet, Elle had promised not to take sides when it came to the species in correlation to the games, and she had yet to put a werewolf through a game yet. None had aggravated her too badly. Though, there were a few people that Elle wanted in the games, like the boy whose file was lying on top of the array in the center. The bisexual witch boy had spilt a drink on Elle the previous week and pissed her off rather thoroughly. She was sure he could have performed some quick spell to dry her off, but instead he kept walking as if he didn't know it had happened.
So, Elle had flown to the hideout last night after putting a file together against him, mostly exploiting his sexual habits and greatly exaggerating everything else, and placed the file in the stash. She hoped that someone would find him an interesting kill. Besides, Elle wasn't hosting the next game and had better fish to fry for her game. Regardless, as Saphira the monkey escaped into the closet, Elle, decided to further things along a bit. Reaching across the table, she slid Mason Ortega's file underneath the one Saphira had been reviewing. It wouldn't be that obvious unless Saphira had studied the table's surroundings previously. Then, finishing her stealthy action, she took a seat across the table, picking players for the next game she would host.
She then smiled and waved Saphira as the human girl strode in, reseating herself at the table. Elle picked up the file in front of her and slid it into a "consideration pile." She then looked up as Saphira spoke, crossing her leg ovetop of her other. She blinked and began speaking, "Well, it seems as though a few have been added rather recently." Elle picked up the file that she was assessing earlier and tossed it across the table. "I don't remember this one, nor do I remember the one underneath the file you're pointing at. I saw that out of the corner of my eye when I walked in." Elle played the lie magnificently, knowing that most of these files had been agreed upon by the group as a whole. Hopefully Saphira would neglect to call the fairy's bluff and play into it.

Getting more comfortable in her seat, Saphira looked back down at the file that she had been reading earlier. She scanned through it one more time, waiting for the girl to speak. Letting out a small sigh, she flipped through all the pages. For some reason this file was just beginning to bore her, and she had never even heard the person before. Which was rare, because she knew everyone, at least by name. She had a game to put on soon, and she still needed to pick the people, and she wasn’t about to pick someone that she had never heard of before.
Saphira shrugged at her words about files being added. Most were always agreed on, but some people tended to slip in files of people they didn’t like, it was just the way they were. Who wouldn’t want to get rid of someone they hated? Anyways, squad members had been doing it for years, it wasn’t like it was anything new, and she doubted that they would ever stop. Yeah maybe they used their power to their advantage, but hey, who wouldn’t? You got to kill people and not get in trouble, why not kill off someone you don’t like or a fellow squad member doesn’t like? It’s safer to keep squad members on your good side anyway.
”Well people add files without telling everyone all the time. It doesn’t really matter, probably everyone at this has done something deserving of being put into the games.” she told her, placing the file she had been reading off into another pile, out of her consideration pile. Two people, she just needed to find two people. it wasn’t that hard, she had done it plenty of times before, why was she having trouble finding the perfect candidates this time? Grr, she was not liking this right now.
Opening the file that, unknown to her, Elle had just slipped into the pile, she scanned it. Well, at least she had heard of this person before. That was a step up from the last pile. ”You can’t possibly say that you have never added a file just because you didn’t like the person. Everyone does it at least once. And sometimes if you don’t put it all into a file first, then no one will agree on it. It’s normally the safer route.” she added, glancing up at the girl only once, before going back to reading the file. It wasn’t that bad, she was liking it so far. Definite consideration.

Elle smiled. Of course veryone at Forevermore Academy had done something to place themselves in the games. Most members of the Execution Squad had strong enough personalities that someone, somewhere, would always be getting on their nerves. It was natural to dislike people, and when you were given a power over life and death, one which caused no consequences to befall you, it was a given that some people would abuse the power. However, the games usually worked, mostly sending in strong personalities that threatened the existance of the games or sending in people who needed to reevaluate their lives. People simply needed to appreciate their time on this earth. Especially if some of them were going to be around for the next few centuries.
Of course Elle knew that people occasionally slipped files of their own preferance into the pile, however, she was trying to make this a little fun. Saphira's bluntness was ruining Elle's fun, although she realized her "fun" idea was actually quite juvenile and flawwed for conception. Sp, she would have to cut to the chase and sell her file, most likely. She knew it did become a little risky just throwing in anyone who you pleased into the games. If other squad members saw your binge-execution, they may grow a little weary of your actions. And after all, you didn't want half a dozen skilled executions punishing you for your actions, now did you? Elle figured she was fine, but personally, she wouldn't take someone else's desired kill into her game, she had other fish to fry. She wasn't sure how Saphira would feel about that though.
Elle smiled wickedly as Saphira delivered the last statement, knowing that the file Saphira held in her hand was her own creation. Of course Elle had done this, maybe a dozen times, but she was rather good at convincing people the files were already there, or of someone else's concoction. Elle was proud of her maneuvers, causing at least three of her choices to have already died by the hand of a fellow squad member. Hopefully this would be four. Either way, Elle started rifling through the piles, starting to think about possible kills for her next game. It was a little while off, but it never hurt to become prepared early. After all, she had a lot of planning to do, and she hadn't even figured out who else she wanted to help her, or if she even wanted help at all.
Yet, that was all a good ways down the road. She didn't need to start worrying yet. She had more pressing matters to get to, like selling Mason into the games. "I guess you're right," Elle said, with a tone that reeked of complete understanding of Saphira's statement, "But I usually try and save my personal vendettas for my own games. It makes things more phone." Hopefully Saphira wouldn't agree too much and ditch mason's file in pursuit of more emotionally close-to-home targets. Elle had to play the bluff and seal the deal. "I was looking at that file though awhile ago and found it interesting. There aren't many others I'm too up to date on." Elle flicked her hair up, stretching a bit as she did so. "By the way, how are the plans for your next game going?"

Saphira didn’t look up at the girl too much, instead she seemed to be liking reading the file a lot more. Normally she would have considered this rude, reading while someone was talking to her, but she always dropped her goody-two shoes act a little around other squad members, and anyway, she had been here first, and she really needed to get this done. She was supposed to be putting on the game soon, and she didn’t have much more time left to choose her victims. She was going to have to work fast and just choose the first two that looked good at this point.
Hearing the girl speak again, she glanced up at her, giving a small shrug. “Depends on the person I guess, though I normally prefer not doing people I have grudges against, that way the game plays out more fairly.” she told her, before giving her attention back to the file. Saphira was a stickler for rules, she liked them to followed and she didn’t like to break them. the games had a certain way they were supposed to be played, and she wasn’t supposed to interfere and try and make the people survive or die, she was supposed to leave that to them, and if she had someone in the games that she had a strong feeling about, she might try and sway it one way or another. Which she didn’t want to do, she knew others would love to, but she would rather leave people she didn’t like for someone else.
It was a good thing that Saphira was excellent at doing two things at once, like reading and listening to people speak. She could hear everything the girl was saying, even if she didn’t respond directly after she spoke. She liked coming to the end of a sentence first. “The plans are going excellent, all I have left to do is figure out the who and I’ll be ready to go.” she explained, flipping a page in the file. A few details might have to be changed depending on the species, but it wouldn’t change things too much, just some technical details.
The file only had a few more pages left, but so far it was the best one that she had read so far. Normally she would have chosen something a little different, but she was just going to pick the first two that looked decent, and this ne fell into that category, at least so far. “This one actually looks pretty good…” she said, mainly to herself, her voice trailing off.

Elle looked around the old house. She hadn't really gone exploring in a long while, but then again, the headquarters that housed decades of murderers didn't appeal to her adventurous interests. She was sure something, in some room, wouldn't fall into the category of the pleasantries of life. Thus, she mainly stuck to this dining room and the living room, where meetings were held. The surrounding rooms were okay too, but she tended to grow uncomfortable in this place, not that she was scared, but the evil sort of weighed her down. Of course, it wasn't like Elle was a nice little fairy either. In fact, she was practically the opposite at heart. She just needed to put on this little charade for the viewing public. Sometimes it made her sick, not being able to just 'off' the person on the spot. However, Elle played nicely on most occasions.
Tossing one pile to the side, Elle was growing frustrated, not having a clue what she was doing. Currently, she felt as though she was just imposing on Saphira's plans, but she needed to wait out the kill and not portray her frustration too clearly. She grabbed another file from the center of the table, standing to stretch out her wings, and reseated herself. This file may be a bit interesting, but Elle wanted to save it for herself, so she casually started a pile to come back to at a later date. Through the next few minutes, it contained three folders. A demon, a vampire, and a human all now found themselves under the consideration of Elle for a game of death. Elle liked this part of the games the most. it was strategical and she had to cover every aspect of the board.
Thinking about it, she tried to always establish her games as a game of chess, pitting one king against another. She often allowed for at least one person to survive if they truly exerted theirself. It was as though the black king checked the white king, but still needed a way off the board. A puzzling maze that revealed true human nature. Besides, she liked to know who she would be up against once they were thrown into the real world. That was her goal: eliminate all possible future threats to gain a seat of power in the world. She had the money, now all she needed was the title. That would come after high school. Either way, as Elle glanced up at Saphira, a smile grew upon her lips.
"Well, I'm sure it'll be a success, who is helping though?" Elle questioned as she grew happier at the fact she had put effort into forging Ortega's file. Elle continued to study Saphira as she browsed the file. Hopefully it would work, and as Saphira muttered her next words, Elle crossed her arms. Checkmate, she thought as admired her own paperwork skills. Now all she had to do was wait for the second candidate to be thrown into the games and allow her two peers to carry out the game plan. With any luck, the bisexual beau, who most of the school actually liked, wouldn't be returning to campus anytime soon. Elle just hoped his little ghostly form wouldn't take a liking to her side of the girls dorms.

Saphira quite enjoyed this building; she liked the atmosphere in it. She liked how old it looked on the outside, kind of warning people from entering, and then how it looked fine on the inside. It just made it better that some of the rooms were coated in dried blood that no one knew how long it had actually been in there. This place was like the perfect haunted house, and Saphira loved every bit of it. She actually wouldn’t mind holding a game in here that would just be pretty sweet. She knew this place like the back of her hand – monkey or human. She knew every inch of this house the first day that she had ever walked in here, it was the exact opposite of what she had grown up around, and she loved it.
Normally, Saphira wasn’t oblivious to anything around her, she normally noticed everything, but she wasn’t paying very close attention to the fairy right now. Heck, she could probably be creeping up behind her and trying to kill her and she wouldn’t notice it right now. She just heard her when she spoke, because that was all she was listening for. Words. Beyond that her attention was on the Ortega file.
The girl spoke again, exactly what she had been waiting for. She knew that she was going to say something, she just didn’t know what. Well, until she said it she didn’t. ”Remy.” she stated simply. She had never played the game with Remy before, and she didn’t think that Remy had much experience, if any, but she had been assigned this one with her, she hadn’t asked for it. Apparently someone thought that Remy could use a little help, and that Saphira would be good. She wasn’t exactly sure about that, but whatever. She just did what they told her to.
Flipping through the file one last time, Saphira let out a contended sigh. Closing the file she placed it on her lap.”Well that’s one less this I have to do now. Only one more person to add to my list.” she said. Only one more person to find, it wouldn’t be that hard…right? Right, she had found one person, so it couldn’t be that hard to find another.

Elle winced quite clearly at Saphira's next statement. This was not good. If the other girl had been looking up, she could have easily identified that something was troubling the fairy. Elle shifted in her seat, rebuilding her thought process, as it had just crumbled around her. Remy was one of the...how shall we put it...less-enthused members of the Execution Squad. Most of them were in fact happy and willing to perform the dirty deeds, each only claiming they found the punishment only justifiable, and not emotionally enjoyable. Remy however, seemed to detest the games, at least that was how Elle read her. Elle was observant, and much brighter than her girly persona would suggest. And according to her observations and one solid fact, this game may be wuite interesting.
Elle's face moved from shock to evil contentedness as she keyed in on her single thought: interesting. This game may be more interesting and exciting than any yet. For you see, Remy and the Ortega witch were close friends, nearly best if Elle had her information sorted correctly. How would Remy react to this game in particular. She had expected the girl to be squeamish and removed from other situations like this. And it wasn't like Remy had been throwing her own files and choices into consideration either. This was just the right occasion to see where Remy's allegiance truly laid. Elle grew more comfortable as she returned from her short fit of panic, hoping Saphira had not thought to look up to see the concern and thought written across Elle's face.
Recovering, Elle picked up on Saphira's actions, which keyed her into her words. She could hardly keep from smiling at Saphira's decision. After all, if she had, she would blatantly be giving something away to Saphira, and while she had already agreed with occasionally slipping a vendetta into the games, Elle wasn't sure that Saphira would be too happy with Elle playing her like this. It wasn't too big of a deal, nor did it truly matter, but she didn't know the girl well enough to reveal her secret part in this game. So, Elle just sat there, staring off into space as if she hadn't been listening to the shape-shifter in front of her. She figured she had waited long enough in silence before she played her role in this conversation once more.
"Hmm, Remy...I haven't worked with her, but I would imagine she isn't too enthusiastic. In fact, I don't see her much really except for at meetings..." Elle wanted to taunt Saphira with a path to discovering Mason as Remy's friend, just in case it did end up jeopardizing a game. However, Elle regretted her decision and decided not to lead her any farther. If Remy intervened, this could prove to be the most interesting thing to happen all year. So, Elle changed topics quickly, "Well, consider yourself lucky, before long I'll have to find some people. I wouldn't have a clue for your second person...good luck." Elle grabbed another file, not truly reading it, just giving it a cursory glance. She waited for Saphira to respond, not really needing to be here any longer, as her plan had already succeeded.

Of course Saphira still wasn’t really looking at the girl, she didn’t see an actual need to at the moment. ”I don’t think she is.” she replied dryly. Remy so far hadn’t shown much enthusiasm for the game they were about to do, one reason that Saphira had decided to do it all herself, because she didn’t want any chances of Remy messing it up and forgetting about a very important detail. ”She was assigned to work with me.” she added, in the same dry tone. She wasn’t too happy about working with her, she would have much rather worked with someone like Damian, who would actually enjoy watching people die.
So far Saphira did not have that high of expectations of the game she was about to do, and she had a feeling that it was not going to go very well. Remy was not very experienced, and to Saphira’s knowledge had only come to meeting so far and had yet to do anything else, and Saphira was not looking forward to that. It would have been at least better if she had shown more interest in people suffering, but she hadn’t. And the fact that she still had to find one more person was not settling well with her either, they had tons of files, but she still couldn’t find more than one right now that she wanted to use. Figures.
Saphira held back a grunt to the girl’s words. ”Finding people is normally fun; right now it’s just a chore.” she replied, putting down the file she had been reading and picking up another one. How the hell had half of these even made it through? Some of them were very poorly put together and didn’t have good reasons for anything, or only had one reason. It was getting a little ridiculous. People really needed to learn how to put a file together properly, otherwise they were going to end up having a meeting about how to put a file together, which was one of the first things you learned when you joined the Squad.
