Her question confused him slightly. Weren’t their always swings at parks? He was pretty sure that swings were a must have at parks, and he was slightly afraid of her going on swings. He wouldn’t doubt it if she just fell off, and he didn’t want her to fall off. This was probably not a very good idea going to the park, but it was the only thing he could think of. ”Of course.” he replied, keeping it short and simple. The less words the better, even though he was starting to feel a bit more comfortable around her. It wasn’t as bad as if was at first at least.
Fly? She wanted to fly? That caused a small smile to curl onto his face; he could probably actually make that happen, but no. That would just be a bad idea, and he wasn’t sure how she would react, and he didn’t want to find out. ”Well I’m sure you’ll be able to swing.” he told her, hearing her change the word ‘fly’ to ‘swing’. And according to her, if she could swing, she would be having fun, and that was the point of this right? Making sure she had fun, even though he had no clue why he actually cared.
Dominic nodded, ”Even when it’s really cold out.” anyways, he didn’t feel the cold right now. Magic came in very handy during the winter. It didn’t seem to take Bailey very long to change the topic, not that he minded at all, he really could care less about what they talked about – for the most part. ”No.” was all he said, they were almost to the park, that’s one reason he had suggested it, he didn’t want to have to walk much farther.
Okay, forget anything about feeling more comfortable around her. When she hugged his arm tighter, he just tensed up even more than he had when she first grabbed his arm. ”Um..sure.” he said, extremely glad that she let go of him. Though seeing her start walking backwards, he sighed, as much as he hated feeling uncomfortable, he didn’t want her to fall, and if that meant that he had to hold her arm as they walked, then so be it. He reached out his arm and grabbed hers, pulling her back around and next to him. ”Don’t want you falling.” he told her.

Swings were fun. Swings were the best. Holding on tightly to the metal chains. Kicking off ht ground and pumping your legs. Back and forth. Up, down, up. The thrilling feelings of flying and the tummy turning of free fall. And then…add drugs to the situation. And you had probably one of the most stimulating attack on the nervous system. There were all kinds of things you could do that were fun when…well, when high. Riding in a car with your head out the window, sitting on the back of a motorcycle in motion, merry go-rounds, roller coaster. But Bailey loved swings the best. Better yet, tire swings. Depending on how many people you could fit… “I’m excited.” She smiled and looked back at him, “Tire swings?” Maybe he would sit on one with her…
Perfect. IF she could swing… Now it’s be just dandy if he would swing with her. And she wasn’t necessarily finding a problem with that hope. He’d been fun thus far. God, she was thinking way too much into this, “Will ya fly with me?” she inquired, still walking backwards. Her little musician mad had yet to pull her back to safety. “Please?” Her legs bent slightly lowering her to the ground. And she brought her hands up clasping them together in a begging position, a pout on her lips. If she was right about him she wouldn’t have to beg. Yes, Bailey had every bit of confidence in him, “Dommie?” Maybe the drugs were making her repeat things…
Maybe he liked walks. Maybe not so little musician man was a liar. He just wanted her to think he hated this. Oh Dom… “So, you’ll take a walk with me again?” She looked hopeful, eyes wide, still turned around. Who knew if the high would take it all away by morning. She hoped it wouldn’t. She liked him. Not just cause he actually came outside, or because he was still with her…or even…even because he was so fun. There was something about her musician man… “I like walking with you.”
He tugged her back then, and she came willingly—it was getting kinda chilly walking alone anyway. Her arm wrapped right around his again, and her head took its rightful place at his shoulder. She smiled, of course she wanted to know where this park was… “You like me don’t you.” A little giggle. She certainly didn’t mean it the way it sounded and she didn’t intend on making him feel awkward. But with Bailey, those things were always possible.

He wasn’t sure if this whole going to the park idea was that good; it seemed so far like it would be similar to when his parents used to make him take his youngest sister, Willow, to the park. But at least he knew how to handle little kids, for the most part, he wasn’t sure if Bailey would be as easy. Probably not, because she made him awkward and nervous all the times, little kids, not so much. ”Of course.” he nodded when she asked about tire swings, he was pretty sure they had them in this park, and he could always make one appear if there actually wasn’t one. Anyways, it might be easier to make sure she doesn’t get herself hurt on a tire swing – maybe.
All her walking backwards was making him a little nervous, he was glad she wasn’t hanging onto him and making him feel completely awkward, but he really didn’t want her to get hurt. He was about to respond to her question, but then she kept on begging, and it was slightly amusing to him. ”Sure.” he chuckled, he was going to say yes anyway, but it would have impossible for him to say no to her just then, she looked to cute begging. Swinging with her would make it easier to make sure she didn’t fall off, or at least he hoped, he hadn’t been on a swing in a while, or near one for a while either for that matter.
He wasn’t sure if he wanted to go on any more walks with her, sure it wasn’t the worst thing in the world, and walks were nice, but he felt so goddamn awkward. But he did want to make sure that she hadn’t gone and gotten herself killed or something, so maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing, and the awkwardness could always go away. Hopefully. And he gave in too easily also, her just looking at him with wide eyes made him give in. ”Sure.” Oh yes, he was a man of big words, wasn’t he?
Of course, he had to give into wanting her to be safe and forget about how awkward and uncomfortable it made him feel, and pull her back. It didn’t surprise him that she wrapped her arm around him and rested her head on his shoulder again, he knew it was coming, but at least this way she wouldn’t trip from walking backwards, even if he was uncomfortable. ”Um..” her question had officially stumped him, and made him feel even more awkward than he already did. He wasn’t sure which way she meant it in, and either way, he still wasn’t sure. He didn’t want her to get hurt, that was about all he knew right now. ”I just don’t want you getting hurt.” was all he said, before quickly changing the subject, since they had reached the park. ”We’re here.”

ooc; i pmed you!
bic; They…had tire swings. Ok. So she might have been easily compared to a little girl…But at least she knew how to have fun. The natural way. Though…her way wasn’t really all that natural… But she didn’t act like she had something shoved up her butt constantly. She wasn’t too sane, I’ll give you that. But she was happy. Content. Ignorance definitely was bliss, in the case of Bailey Erin Owens. Ignorance was sheer ecstacy…literally. But she hadn’t the slightest problem with it. Because she hadn’t the slightest clue it was even happening. So…what could it hurt? Of course she was vaguely aware of how everyone acted around her… “They’re the best.” She nodded.
He definitely just said he’d go on walks with her. And he’d swing with her. Hopefully…he understand the magnitude of those agreements. One…they’d be swinging for a while. Yeah, sure, she’d probably want to go home and shoot up soon…But she figured swinging was sufficient entertainment…and upon occasion her impulses weren’t so strong. Maybe Dommie would be enough entertainment. She was sort of…calm. Around him. Not as strange. Almost nearly sane. Still reletively childish….but in a…sane way. Ok, that didn’t make sense.
“We should go on walks…” Well, duh. What kinda walks? When? Where? Leave it to Bailey to make such a vague statement. Her grip loosened ever so slightly on his arm as she thought. Then she stood up, taking her head off of his arm and regaining her grip on his appendage, “We should go on walks everyday. I think that would be fun…” Hell, she’d never had a friend like him before. That would go on walks with her and not make such a big deal out of it. Well…she had her junkie friends back at her old school…but they weren’t very much fun. They weren’t as used to the drugs as she was. So… Point made?
And then there it was. The park. She lit up, instantaneously. Her arm let go of his and she jogged off a few steps before stopping and turning around to look at him, “And that’s because you like me.” She giggled and stuck her tongue out at him, before turning back around and jogging the rest of the way to the tire swing. Perfect. This was gonna be the best. Especially with…Where was he? She turned back around, smiling at him. “C’mon slow-poke.”

Dominic honestly could not remember t.he last time he was on a tire swing, or a swing for that matter. He knew it was fun though, or at least it was when he was younger, he wasn’t that sure if it would be as fun now. Though she seemed to like them a lot, but he was also positive that she was high and he was guessing that that was normal for her. So he wasn’t exactly sure if he could trust her information one-hundred percent. ”If you say so.” he shrugged; he might as well take her word for it, even if he wasn’t sure if she would be right. He didn’t really want to disagree.
He wasn’t exactly sure as to why he agreed to swing and go on walks with her, but he didn’t want to see what would happen if he said no, he didn’t want her to get sad about it or something. But he had just agreed to hang out with her more, which he was sure it was going to make him uncomfortable, but he really did want to hang out with her more. Realizing that just make him feel extremely awkward, he wanted to be around her, not just because he had told her he would.
Dominic chuckled softly as her words. He had just agreed to go on another walk with her, so she was really just restating herself when she said ‘we should go on walks’. At least they were only walks though, walks were nice, and he was getting a bit more used to her holding onto him. ”If you really want to.” he told her, though in his head he was fighting between groaning about the everyday part and being happy because she actually wanted to be around him every day. Though she was high, so that might have something to do with her actually wanting to be around him.
Did he like her? He wasn’t positive on that, but he was positive that he would be up all night trying to figure this out. Great. The last time he was up all night because of a girl was…well, all night was actually a while ago. Most of the time he that he was up because of a girl, it was only half the night. During his thinking, he didn’t notice that she had let go of him completely and was already at the tire swing. Hearing her call him a slow-poke, he quickly jogged over to where she was. ”Hey, I’m not slow.”

“Dommie,” here we go… “I don’t just say so. I know so.” Fuck. Yes. Tire swings were definitely the epitome of a good time. Whether you were five, fifteen, or fifty. Tire swings were the shit. End of story. Apparently mister musician man had been missing out on a lot. For a long time… For some reason she couldn’t help but imagine what he’d be like on drugs…She did that occasionally. Especially to the girls that looked like they had sticks up their asses. What would they be like if they had a little help? To loosen up that is…
Enough…
“I do.” She nodded, completely unaware to her repetition. May I introduce Bailey Erin Owens? Yeah…that was basically how she was…all the time. And the fact that he shook it off in such a way…well that was a good thing. At least he wasn’t getting pissed at her already. That…happened a lot. Occasionally guys would be nice to her—without her knowledge—just because she was a dumb set of breasts. But that always changed after they’d spent some time with her. She went from something hot to something annoying. Again…none of this Bailey was aware of…amazingly enough. Did I already mention ignorance is definitely bliss?
“Fine.” She giggled and stuck her tongue out at him. It almost made her excited to see him jog on over. Like it was almost important to him. Like he wanted to go swinging with her. And if she hadn’t been so sure about him before…this probably would’ve been the breaking point. Dommie the not so little musician man was pretty cool. A pretty sweet dude. Oh Bailey… Returning her attention to the swing in front of them she smiled. Tire swings…Hell it had been so long since she’d actually seen one of these. The park back home had been torn down and remade. Into something simple and colorful. With the damned colored tubs and tic tac toe game. No more tire swings, or monkey bars, or see-saws. But they still had regular swings…But this. This was a one of a kind first class tire swing.
Bailey stepped in, one foot at a time and stood in the center holding on to the two ropes that held it up. Oh yeah…she was a lot bigger than the last time…Sure he’d be able to fit…with a little strategy…She just… Well she just remembered them being so much bigger. Five or six or them being able to cram in at once. Why oh why did she have to grow up?
“Come on Dominic.”

A soft chuckle escaped his lips. Apparently she knew that tire swings were the best thing ever. He was starting to like her nicknames for him more, before they were mainly something he just had to deal with, though he was starting to realize that they weren’t that bad. They were actually kind of nice. ”Of course you do.” he nodded, keeping up with his ‘just agree with her’ thing he was doing. Though this time it was a bit more playful, he was starting to get a little bit of confidence.
It didn’t surprise him that she did want to go on walks every day, but he had wanted to make sure that she really had meant it when she asked him. Well, actually he just liked avoiding the word yes, preferring to use other words that meant the same thing. ”Then of course I’ll go on walks with you every day.” he told her, not caring about what he just got himself into. It could prove to be the most interesting thing in his life, except for the games, because the games were just awesome. Hmm…would he rather see someone being tortured or walk with her? He wasn’t sure, they were both pretty close in his books.
He was actually a little surprised at himself. He had jogged over to her, and he detested running of any kind. It was very unusual for him. Though, she could easily do something stupid to get herself hurt in the thirty seconds that it would have taken him to just walk, so he had to get to her as fast as possible. Right? Yeah, sure, that was it. Or at least that’s what he kept telling himself.
His attention diverted to the tire swing that Bailey had just climbed into. He raised an eyebrow. That thing was tiny. How exactly were both of them supposed to fit into it? Dominic shook his head. He didn’t know how to make this more comfortable for him at all, oh well, he told her he would swing with her. Stepping in, he held onto one of the ropes, it was a bit of a squeeze with both of them, but it wasn’t that bad.

Walks everyday. This was gonna be fun. More than fun. This was gonna be…Well, hell, maybe she’d like it here. If she only had to communicate with Dommie and…Derek. The thought made her frown momentarily…but she was back to her perky self in seconds. Hey, she still had to start going to school. She couldn’t avoid it forever. Even though it sucked. And it was boring. And they didn’t ever hardly do anything entertaining. And the teachers were mean. And she never got what was going on. And she always did or said something that made the other students stare… God, she hated school.
“All right music man,” yeah so it was a little squeeze. But they could handle it. Of that she was sure. They would handle it. Whether one of them ended up getting hurt or not. Hell, Bailey hardly noticed when she was in physical pain anymore. She was so goddamn numb… “Wait…” She hopped up on the tire first, pulling her knees together—she was wearing a dress—and careful not to knee him you know where. Last thing she wanted to do was hurt poor Dominic. And he might get mad…She didn’t want that. Oh boy…
Now that she was safely settled up on the swing—she assumed he’d hold it down for them—she smiled at him and nodded, “Your turn Dominic.” Well that just felt weird…to her…calling him Dominic. By his birth name…Unless he’d lied to her…No Dommie wouldn’t lie. This was going to be so. Much. Fun. “I remember these being bigger…” she mumbled, on the verge of giggling…they probably looked rather awkward both trying to get into the same swing. He could just stand outside of it and spin her while she rode it…and she could try and do the same for him. But she was convinced this was the best way. It was only fun when you could laugh and get dizzy along with someone…
ooc; short, and lame. i'm sorry. /:

This was probably going to be awkward, for him at least. He already thought that he was a bit too old for these kinds of things, and they were also a bit big for these tire swings. Hopefully they wouldn’t break them. That would be really bad. But at least Dominic knew how to deal with that kind of thing, making sure stuff didn’t break. That was child’s stuff…for a witch anyway. Holding the swing in place for her, as she got herself settled on it, he took that time to make sure that the ropes wouldn’t break – just in case.
She actually called him Dominic. That caused him to pause for a split second; he had not been excepting her to ever use his actual name instead of a nickname. He kind of preferred the nicknames. Pushing all thoughts aside, he sat himself down on the swing. Yeah, this was definitely awkward. And a bit cramped. This tire swing was definitely not made for two teenagers, at least not for the both of them. Maybe if it was two skinny thirteen year olds, but they definitely didn’t fit that description. Well, he didn’t. Maybe if someone else Bailey’s size was in the swing with her then they might fit, a bit more comfortably at least.
He chuckled at her words about remembering tire swings as bigger. When was the last time she was on one of these? If she remembered them as bigger she must have been smaller. When you’re younger, everything seems bigger. ”I bet they were.” he stated, a small smile finding its way onto his face. When he was younger if he saw someone who was over six feet tall he thought that they were a giant. A lot of things change from being a little kid to being a teenager. Some good, and some not so good.

“They were.” She giggled giving him a light push to the chest. Of course they were, when you had a messed up way of perceiving things. Her mind didn’t work like others apparently. To bailey these things shrunk, and was always the same. Things were always changing and she was still the same old strange little Bailey. Well, in all honesty half of that was true. Bailey had always been messed up…weird. And yes, all of her friends did grow up, eventually get responsible. People changed, places changed, tire swings shrunk. Bailey was a constant. Which was almost depressing, almost made her feel unfit for the world. But did she worry too much about it? Hell no.
She looked up at him and cocked her head to the side, almost growing curious. Was Dommie always this way? Always kinda quiet? Was he always fun? Was he always this big? You couldn’t blame her for being curious. Bailey hadn’t the slightest clue how things worked. She didn’t really pay attention in those biology classes, or health. Ok, that makes her sound completely childish. But in a sense she was. Sure somewhere in the back of her mind she knew all of this. Just the part that she used most of the time wasn’t it. She chose to live in a state of childish ignorance. Now get her when the high wore off…
Bailey snapped out of it and looked down at their dangling feet. Ok now they were both in the swing…but they weren’t swinging. That was no fun. She noted the length of her legs compared to his. Yes they hung a substantial amount lower than hers. She smiled and looked up at him, “You gotta kick Dom.” Yes, she wasn’t that dumb. She knew that for this to really work one of them had to be standing outside the swing to push. But…in her effort to get them to both enjoy it she assumed they’d work it out. And she wasn’t about to give up on that plan now.

Dominic let a small chuckle escape his lips at her words. ”Hey – I never said that they weren’t.” he laughed. Yep, being around her was definitely starting to get a little easier, though it was better that she wasn’t clinging onto him anymore, but now they were just attempting to squeeze into a swing that was too small for them. he decided that he liked this better though, he wasn’t exactly sure why, but for right now, he felt more comfortable on the swing than he had when he was walking here. He figured it was probably because he had more control over this. It was just a swing, and he could easily manipulate it with magic, people on the other hand, could not. He actually could manipulate people very easily with magic, but he just didn’t normally want to.
Now she was looking at him, staring. It was a little creepy, or at least it seemed that way to Dominic. But he didn’t get out very much, and people looking at him he tended not to like very much. Though now he was just getting extremely self-conscious, and wondering why she was looking at him. What was she thinking about? He wasn’t actually sure if he wanted to know the answer to that one, but he was starting to feel awkward again with her looking at him.
Hearing her voice again, he looked down at his feet. He had to kick? Oh yeah, you normally did kick on swings, though tire swings were normally pushed. Hmm…a small smile curled onto his face, and idea coming to him. Starting to kick, he muttered something under his breath, and the tire swing started swinging. Now he was just kicking for show, and for the fun of it, it really wasn’t necessary anymore. ”I know that.”

Of course he never said they weren’t. But for lack of a better excuse…that was just Bailey. She fought like a little kid would. Using silly arguments and saying things just for the sake of saying them. She didn’t exactly have the logical processes to back up any real sort of argument. So she just talked. “They were huge.” Like that. She had her gaze now on the chain, and her hand which was around it, not thinking anything in particular, just staring. Which…wasn’t necessarily a good thing. It more than likely meant she might want to head back soon. But thankfully, she had Dominic. And the fact that the swing started moving snapped her out of it.
“I love these,” she repeated staring down through the little hole both of their legs were meant to fit in. Apparently she wasn’t necessarily sharp enough to realize that he wasn’t really kicking with much effort, and yet they were still moving. She probably wouldn’t have realized anyway. This was Bailey…remember? And with that in mind the next thing she said shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Hell, her mind was working a million miles per hour toward absolutely nothing. So the things it produced couldn’t have too much expected of them.
“Dominic, you should sing a song.” To Bailey, littledrummerboy had turned into drummerboy, to music man, to Dominic can sing. Yeah. What did you expect. So, now having to focus all of her attention on Dom who was sitting in front of her, stationary, so as to not get sick from dizziness, she was asking him to sing. No surprise there. Of course if he said no, she wouldn’t push it. But he should at least expect her to ask him again…and again…and again. That one thing…wasn’t about to change.

Yeah, she definitely confused him. Hadn’t they already decided that tire-swings used to be huge? Oh well, he never understood girls anyway. She was no different, except for the fact that she acted more like his little sisters than a teenager half the time. Not that he minded that at all, it was very amusing. ”Yep. They were.” he nodded; deciding to just agree with her, he didn’t think arguing would get him anywhere anyway. He didn’t think that pointing out that she had basically already said that would get him anywhere either, so he just kept his mouth shut about it.
A small smile crossed her face. He had never doubted that she wouldn’t like the swing, since she had been the one to ask for it, but he still liked knowing that she liked it. he didn’t want her to not like it, because then he would think it was his fault, he was supposed to make sure that she didn’t have a completely lousy time, right? ”I’m glad.” he told her, keeping his eyes on her. Normally he wouldn’t do this, look at her for so long, but he was trying to avoid looking at what was behind her because behind her the world seemed to be spinning, even if it was them that were spinning.
Her words startled him. ”I can’t sing.” he replied hastily. It was true, he couldn’t sing to save his life, and he didn’t want to completely scare her with his voice. He stuck to drums, singing was not physically possible for him to do if you wanted it to sound good at all. Though he doubted he was going to be able to get away without singing something, because from what he had seen of her so far, he figured that she would ask again, and probably continue asking until he gave in, which probably wouldn’t take that long.

ooc; it's a bit yuck...but needed to get you something. /:
bic; He agreed…again, which gave her all the more reason to think that the world had shrunk to one degree. Now…the way she may have decided to voice her newfound concern more than likely sounded like some deep philosophical teen angst type of thing. Something you’d find in a novel or an indie film, “Dom…don’t you ever feel like…you’re too big?” She looked up, at the sky, then back at him. Damn…she was soooo whacked out. “Or maybe like the world’s not big enough for you? And it only keeps getting smaller?” She stared at him now, a look of complete and utter confusion plain as day on her face. Honestly…the girl looked like she didn’t have a fucking clue what she was talking about either. Figures.
She snapped out of the little tranz almost immediately and smiled, indeed taking note of his very own smile—she noticed some things. “You like ‘em too.” She laughed and let her arms unbend slightly, leaning back and letting the mild breeze whip her hair a bit. You couldn’t always get that flying sensation on tireswings. Why? Because you were moving in circles…not up and down, or back and forth. Just…circle after cirlce after circle. But…nontheless Bailey found it entertaining. And it was just oh so special to be sharing it with her new friend.
As soon as he mentioned his opinion on the matter of his vocal talent—yes, opinion—Bailey sat back up and shook her head, “Dommie, everyone can sing.” It was true. Now whether or not they could sing well was another question entirely… “And what’s a musician man to do without a little singing?” Maybe…it was time for more drugs. Now she was just getting loopy. “I’m sure you can sing.” She nodded, more for herself than him, and allowed her gaze to remain on him.

Well that question was a little unexpected, he didn’t think that she would ask questions like that, but apparently he was wrong. ”I guess, maybe a little bit sometimes.” he shrugged. He had never really thought about it before. He was too busy closing himself off in his room and playing the drums, or working on another game. Most of the times, questions like that just confuse him, and it didn’t look like Bailey understood them that much either. Or at least not what she had just said.
He chuckled a little at her words. Okay, maybe he did like them. it was nice to actually have a little fun…outside and actually with someone. ”Yeah. I do.” he nodded, almost looking a little ashamed to admit it. this was a thing meant for little kids, but it was fun. Even though they were just going to circles, but it was still fun, it felt…nice, just spinning around in circles, going around and around, it was almost like flying. Though actually flying was more fun, he just didn’t like doing it sometimes because it took a lot of power and people normally stared at you.
Dominic sighed; he had figured that she wouldn’t let him get away with just saying that he couldn’t sing. She didn’t give up very easy, not from what he had seen so far at least. “My singing sounds like shit.” he stated. Well, if she was going that he could sing, he guessed that it was possible for him to, it just wouldn’t sound very good at all, and he would rather her not hear it. “Play drums? And have someone else sing?” he shrugged, not all drummers sang, some did, but many just played drums. “I’m sure I can’t.” he added, after she said that she was sure that he could sing.
