A friend! A friend, a friend! And he seemed nice enough! Even though he lied about his size…So she couldn’t even trust that he was a musician… But of course she did! Which was nifty. Even though drummers tended to be loud. On the drums. Maybe he was loud…maybe he’d be fun. Maybe he’d be like Derek. Of course the thought of that was kinda depressing. If he was like Derek then Derek wouldn’t be so special anymore. And there was that tug of loyalty. He was her first friend here after all. Because yes, he was a friend. To Bailey. But here was another friend! This was great. This was nifty. This was gonna be so much fun. Walks and friends, and pinkie promises.
She was headed out. Out, out, of her dorm. And in a pastel yellow colored dress. Some black tights, boots (the big ones) and, of course, a coat. Itchin’ to get in that pinkie promise and make a new friend. And it did help a bit…her natural high. Because being on drugs since the age of…goodness knows how young, sorta made her that way. Eternally high. Ready to move. Always. Which was probably why her littlemrmann was a bit afraid of her online. Or at least he seemed so. That reaction wasn’t anything new to Bailey. People were typically turned off by her extreme and quirky personality. At least right now wasn’t the other extreme. At least she was fun right now.
And she had a friend!
Poor thing nearly skipped down the hall from sheer excitement, glancing at her pinkie every once in a while. Yes, she had every intention of pinkie swearing with the boy that she wouldn’t hurt him. Though the thought was quite funny. It made her laugh. Well, more like giggle. She was a bit giddy… This year wasn’t turning out to be so bad. She had two friends so far. If she could really consider drummermann a friend…And of course she did! This was Bailey after all. A bird could land by her and she would think it wanted to be her friend. The lonely lifestyle wasn’t a good one for her. In fact making friends even helped her to push on her high for a little while. Which meant she didn’t do as many drugs. Which was good for her health. And whether you’d believe it or not Bailey wasn’t exactly a big fan of her addiction.
She finally made her way outside, flashing childishly exuberant grins at everyone she passed. Which consisted of a janitor and small group of girls who greeted her with creeped out stares. But did that faze her? Of course not! Her smile only widened as she stepped outside, delighted by a solitary snowflake as it floated by her. A friend and it was snowing. Nifty. She clunked down the steps, her boots making quite the racket, and began walking down the path that separated the two sides the courtyard. It was a walk. Now all she needed was her mrdrummermannboy.

Oh joy. A walk. How did he manage to get himself into these kinds of things? Signing off of his computer, he let out a small sigh. Now he actually had to get dressed, and get out of his room. To go see a girl who he didn’t even know, the only thing he knew about her was things that he guessed, like she seemed to be extremely hyper and high off of something. He was also guessing that her name was Bailey, from her screenname, but he wasn’t positive on that one, but normally he had pretty good instincts.
Slowly, he pushed himself up, off of his spinny chair. He wasn’t about to leave his dorm wearing only his boxers, that didn’t seem like the most brilliant plan in the world to him. Sliding his feet over to a pile of clothes on the floor, he rummaged through them, pulling out a pair of black jeans. Quickly he slipped them on, and continued to search through his pile for a shirt. Of course he would only have one clean shirt, and it would be white. Figures. Shaking his head, he put it on anyway, he might not like wearing white but at least it was a shirt. Sighing once again, he stood up, and headed towards his door.
He was almost to the door, when something on the floor caught his eye. A black hoodie. Just what he needed. Bending over, he quickly snatched it up, and threw it on. He wasn’t a big fan of white, and if he could cover it up with a black hoodie, he would. His hand clasped around the door handle, slowly turning it, he opened up the door and walked out. Turning towards the direction of the courtyard, he started to make his way there, walking pretty slowly. He wasn’t sure if this was a good idea or not, it could be a trap, or it could just be some crazy girl.
Maybe it wouldn’t turn out that bad, you know, maybe he would actually start talking to her or something. Though that wasn’t very likely, Dominic and talking didn’t go too well together, he only got loud and talked a lot when he was around people he knew and liked a lot, people he was close to. But he was bored, and the girl did sound like she might be amusing at least, might frighten him a bit also, hyper people normally did at first, but amusing would be a nice break.
Finally, he managed to make it outside, into the courtyard. The first thing he noticed is that it was snowing, figures, he probably should have worn something besides just a hoodie. Shaking his head, he looked around, trying to find this mystery girl. His eyes landed on a girl wearing yellow, though it was slightly hidden by a coat, he guessed that was her. since there was no one else out here, that kind of helped his assumption also. Stuffing his hands into the pocket of his hoodie, he made his way over to the girl. “Um..hi.” she said, a little unsure of himself. The girls was pretty, which was not a good thing for him, just meant he would have an even harder time talking. Great.

The snow was fun. The snow was great. Especially since each little flake to grace her skin left a sensation that exploded in her mind. It was all much more intense. Everything was with Bailey’s state of mind. So you could imagine she was daft-excited for this walk. A new friend. And the snow. And her big boots that hung loosely from her feet. The day was just asking for fun. She laughed, absently, at nothing really, and kept her eyes to the sky. The little snowflakes blended in with their light gray background and caught her off guard as they landed on her face. Another thing she loved—cloudwatching—and it wasn’t so easy with the way the clouds clumped together like that. Like they were hiding something.
Her mind wandered off onto that new subject. What were they guarding? The sun? The moon? Was it really night? Was she insane? She laughed again, but a voice broke the noise, “Um…hi.” Oh! A friend! She looked down, literally tearing her mind from the clouds and smiled. Of course she had to adjust her line of vision. Looking up at him wasn’t exactly looking up at the clouds, but she definitely have to look up. “Hi musicianman. Not little at all.” She giggled. Sure the boy might not be so tall to any other person. In fact, he was probably average height for guys his age. But to Bailey…yeah he was tall.
Yes, he definitely looked fun. She didn’t quite know why of course…Matter o’ fact Bailey thought everyone looked fun. For the most part. But he was definitely fun material. “Let’s walk.” She smiled and turned around. Yeah…remember? She’s strange… Of course the girl only got a few steps before remembering something. She stopped in midstep and turned around. “Oh!” The pinkie promise…remember? If he really was afraid of her…that was probably the best choice. Closing the gap between them Bailey let out a pseudo-sigh and held up her pinkie. “I promise I’ m not dangerous.” Again the trademark smile spread across her face and she gestured for him to take her pinkie. Well, if he went along with that he’d more than likely be a blast.
“Cross my heart, hope to die.” She could wait there all day. As long as she had just a little bit of company. But she had the feeling her musicianman would take her up on the offer. Heck, he came outside didn’t he? “Stick a needle in my eye.” She continued with another giggle.

Dominic was really not a huge fan of the cold, or the snow, or anything that he wasn’t used to either. But at least he could do something about being cold, he could make his hoodie warmer. Muttering something under his breath, he felt the hoodie start to warm up a bit, blocking out the snow and winter temperate better than it did regularly. He really did love being a witch sometimes, it came in extremely helpful. It just got annoying when others were always asking you to do things for them, and sometimes they asked pretty ridiculous things.
Yeah, this was definitely her. “Um, it’s Dominic.” he told her, not really wanting to be called ‘musicianman’, it wasn’t a terribly bad nickname, but he preferred it when people used his name. She seemed to be the little one here, he felt as if he could easily break her in two if he really wanted to. Not that he did, he actually felt like that would be a very bad idea, she reminded him of something, but he wasn’t exactly sure what it was, but it made him feel like she shouldn’t be hurt at all, like it would be a crime or something.
Well, this was what he had come for, the walk. He took a step forward, right before she turned around all of the sudden. Dominic almost jumped, but stopped himself before he did so, but his eyes were a bit wider now. When she held up her pinkie, he looked at it with a ‘what the fuck?’ expression on his face for a few seconds, before she spoke and he remembered her pinkie promise. He hadn’t thought that she was being serious about that though. He continued to just stare for a few more seconds, listening to her go on about crossing her heard and sticking a needle in her eye, for some reason he didn’t like that last idea very much, he had seen someone with a needle in their eye before, and he didn’t like the idea of her having one in her eye very much.
Shaking his head, he held up his pinkie as well, feeling like a complete idiot doing so, and wrapped it around hers. ”Just don’t stick a needle in your eye.” he sighed, wanting to get this over with quickly. Taking another like at her, he remembered who she reminded him of. His little sisters. Now as long as she didn’t make him play dress up with her, he was fine, and anyway, she looked like a human to him, so she couldn’t be half as dangerous as his sisters.

Dominic? That was cute. His little fix made her smile Wide…of course. It was like a little boy. Or a little toy. You just couldn’t see an old man named Dominic. So the thought only made the boy seem younger to her. Though he was probably older than her… She giggled. “All right Dominic the musician man. I promise not to stick a needle in my eye.” Though that hardly seemed fair. Now she’d made two promises and he’d made none. She’d have to work on that. Pop up with something for him to promise to do with her. Or promise to say. Or promise to…well, not do. Anything. Just to even out the score.
“Let’s walk Doms.” Of course, without much regard to as his personal bubble or the fact that she sort of freaked him out, she looped her arm through his and stuck the hand in her pocket. Like a girl with her date…or her dad…or her brother. She already liked him. He had a cute name. And he was funny. And he…well, he was here right? He didn’t tell her he was coming and then leave poor Bailey out in the snow. And there could be no doubt that she would, indeed, stand out in the snow and wait for him. Before a sudden need might draw her back inside. Or she happened to wander off and get lost…
“I love snow.” She laughed huddling close to him. The sort of easiness she had around people was a bit strange, in truth. No matter who. No matter what they looked like, or what they said to her, or how they acted. She warmed up immediately. And sometimes their reactions were a bit depressing…always ruining her day. However, on occasion, their reactions were brilliant. Back at home she had plenty of people like that. Plenty of people who skip along with her upon their first meeting. But so far…this place was proving the opposite.
And Dominic was pretty much her only hope at this point. Yes, Bailey had attended one day of school. And so far the people gave her funny looks, and the teachers were boring. Not at all conducive to the learning abilities of a junkie. Except there was Derek…but he was a different story altogether. Dom was cute in a…shy little boy sort of way. “Thanks for walking with me Dommie,” she smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder.

Dominic nodded, ”Well that’s good.” he said, trying to forget that she called him ‘Dominic the musician man’. At least it actually had his name in it though. He doubted that she ever would have actually stuck a needle in her eye, but with the people at this school, you never knew, so it was always better to be safe than sorry. And with a cute little girl like her it would be a shame for a needle to ever be in her eye, pretty things shouldn’t be tainted by anything, even though it seemed to happen a lot, and he suspected that she did drugs by the way she acting.
Doms? Has she seriously just called him that? This girl apparently liked giving him nicknames, ones which he wasn’t very pleased with, but he knew he wouldn’t say anything about it. He was too busy thinking about the nickname that she had given him, that he hadn’t realized that she had locked their arms together. A small sigh escaped him. He really could get out of this very easily, but he didn’t want to spoil her fun right now. He had agreed to come and go on a walk with her anyway, he might as well let her have her way, even if it was making him very uncomfortable.
It almost seemed like he ignored her words, but he was paying very close attention to what she said, he just didn’t have any comment on it. Snow was just snow to him, it could be good, but then sometimes it was just plain annoying. Dominic tensed up when he felt her huddle close to him, he really wasn’t use to people being this close to him, and it was making him feel very uncomfortable and awkward. He didn’t like it very much, but he loosened up after a few seconds, trying to ignore their closeness. Thinking back to what she said about the snow, he distracted himself with a wave of his free hand, causing some of the snow that was falling to come together in a line and circle around Bailey.
Dominic knew that he wasn’t the greatest company sometimes, but he wasn’t going to start talking to people he didn’t know very well, so he was trying to make it up to her in the only way he knew how. Magic. He was actually surprised he was able to keep it in check right now though; he normally couldn’t when he was alone with a pretty girl. ”Your welcome.” he said, doing his best not to tense up at the sudden weight on his shoulder.

He was fun. Solely, now, for the fact that he didn’t shrug her off or cuss her out and bark rude remarks in her direction. He just sucked it up. Though if he was reacting any way in particular Bailey wouldn’t be able to notice. She never could. In fact, when it came to judging people…Bailey hadn’t exactly received the gold star. It was pure luck that she’d been correct when it came to Dominic. Sheer fortune. Most of the time it was…She was just…lucky like that. Must’ve been karma. She was always nice, and she was simply getting what was coming to her. Yeah, karma. That had to be it.
He didn’t comment back on her little mention of a love for snow. Which, of course, she didn’t exactly notice. Again, the exceptionally unobservant side of her was most prominent. He could’ve muttered something sensationally rude under his breath and she probably would’ve started talking about snowballs, and snowmen. Though she did like snow…but not enough to go frolicking in it. Hence the instinctual leaning into his side. He…for some reason, was exceptionally warm. Which she was exceptionally thankful for. Causing her to hold tighter to his arm.
“You’re funny” She laughed. Though…she wasn’t sure why he was…Possibly because he was giving her such simple, straight, and honest answers. Which was kinda cute. In that little boy way, again. She poked his side and laughed. Now she was probably freaking him out…Which was quite all right. He didn’t prove to be the type to run away at the very first sign of an oddity. And there didn’t seem to be a valid reason to change that policy now. So she seemed safe…not like she ever worried.
And the little display of magic? Well, she mistook that, duh, for an act demonstrated by the drugs. By now…she took everything strange that occurred to her or around her as something brought on by the drugs. Which was probably another reason why she hadn’t realized the purpose for the school. Or the reality of the students who went here. To her…they were all just a bit…rude. And mean. Thank God for Dominic. "...and warm." She added, as a much belated afterthought, again tugging tighter on his arm.

Dominic was trying to keep his mind off of how uncomfortable he was feeling now by think about anything and just about everything else. Which mainly consisted of the snow that was slowly falling from the sky above him and the ground in front of them. For some reason he didn’t really trust her not to walk them into something, he wasn’t exactly sure if she was actually paying much attention to wear they were walking, and he didn’t want to run into anything, or let her run into anything. So watching the ground (and whatever the hell was in front of them – which right now all he could tell was snow) was turning out to be a good distraction.
He couldn’t stop himself from starting to tense up again when she clung tighter to his arm. He was starting to wonder if she knew that she was making him uncomfortable, but he doubted that right now. Relaxing his muscles, he let out a small sigh. She didn’t seem to be very observant, and he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing. It could get her into some serious trouble here. Having just met her, he could already think of reasons that she would be put into the games, which for some reason he didn’t like that idea. Normally, he didn’t care, and he shouldn’t care right now, but he couldn’t help it. He let out a small sigh, this girl was reminding him of his sisters a little too much, but she was acting like a little kid. Yeah, that was the reason behind his sudden caring. It had to be.
How was he funny? Oh, this girl was confusing him. He shook his head, he was just going to give up trying to figure her out, he would just end hurting his head. Feeling a sudden poking to his side, he rolled his eyes. So now she was poking him? Now, he couldn’t allow that. Wriggling his arm free so that he could use both of his hands, he started tickling her. He wasn’t sure if she was ticklish, but he had to get her back somehow. ”No. You are.” he said, quietly, pulling his hands back and letting them rest at his sides.
Letting their arms lock again, Dominic was trying to not let how uncomfortable he felt interfere with their little walk. Hearing the words ‘and warm’ coming from her lips, he couldn’t hide the confused expression on his face. Where had that come from? And warm? What exactly did that mean? Oh he was confused. Again. Oh, she was talking about him. a small smile crept onto his face. ”Is there a reason you keep tugging on my arm?” he asked, surprised at himself for actually saying that much at one time.

That’s it. She knew he was gonna be fun. And if she even knew what a brother was like…she might have even thought that up on the fly. But, of course, she didn’t. So she…just…kept thinking he was fun. That seemed to be the only thing on her mind. The constant need for fun. Like a junkies need for drugs. Or a racers need for speed. What could she say? The girl liked fun. It was…well, fun. Especially when you were high. Especially when you were high and outside. And it was even better when it was snowing. And the topper? Having someone fun to go with it.
And he was exactly that. Fun. God. Imagine if you could hear her thoughts all the time. Imagine how many times she said that one word… She pushed at him, lightheartedly, giggling as he removed his arm to tickle her. See? Fu—Ok, no more of that. He was…entertaining. She could think of plenty of people who wouldn’t do that. And a grand majority were people who went to this school. They were all so…up tight. So rude. So mean. Like that group of girls she’d smiled at walking down the hallway to come see him. Rude. Mean. Not…well, they weren’t amusing. Bailey definitely couldn’t see herself having a good time with any of them. Not to mention they all looked a little strange…but who was she to judge. She probably looked strange to everyone else.
When he finally looped his arm back with hers she had to admit she was thankful. Damn. Was it the drugs or was it freezing out here? Normally she didn’t notice things like this when intoxicated…Which meant she didn’t notice these things ever. Maybe the prospect of being able to huddle up with someone gave her mind a reason to give her body incentive to keep a bit chill. Therefore she had to, or wanted to, keep attached to him. Tugging on his arm like a little girl tugging on her daddy’s pants…or a teenage girl tugging on her friends arm…either way.
“Well, you’re fun.” She laughed resting her head back on his shoulder. And truth be told…he was right in making sure he kept watch where they were going. Baileys steps were trying to take her towards Dom, and off into the grass. In short she wasn’t paying the least bit of attention. The only thing keeping her on path were his constant steps in the right direction. Smart kid. ”Is there a reason you keep tugging on my arm?” She thought a moment, nose wrinkling up under the apparent stress and looked at him. “I’m cold silly musician man.” Another laugh and her head was back on his shoulder.

Dominic was starting to wonder if this girl was completely here or not, but he was guessing no. She had either done too many drugs in her life already, or was on them now. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to know the answer to that one, but either way he knew that he didn’t want to leave her alone, no matter how uncomfortable she was making him feel. He didn’t think she was very capable of being by herself, but that was probably just his over protectiveness kicking in. He wasn’t as afraid of what the people here could do to her, more what would happen if some of the other kids in the squad found out about her. Knowing them, they would find her a perfect candidate for the games. Her was fun? For some reason he didn’t hear the one very often, and really, it just confused him. Dominic shook his head, chuckling softly. ”Whatever you say.” he said, not going to argue with her over calling him fun. He doubted anything would result if he tried to argue his point to how he was not fun, so he was just going to let her have her way. That’s basically what he’s been doing though, letting her have what she wants. It was easier than the alternatives.
Noticing that she seemed to be walking into him rather than straight ahead of them, he guessed that he was being smart in watching where they were going. Even though he didn’t really know where they were going, it was just a walk, right? Those normally don’t have a destination, right? Well, he didn’t think they did, so he was just going to walk and try not to run into anything on the way. Unless she had a place in mind that she wanted to go. ”Is there anywhere specific that you would like to walk to right now?” he asked, glad that he hadn’t stumbled over his words like normal.
A small smile curled onto his face. He was starting to like her odd nicknames for him. ”Well that’s not good.” he said, without realizing it. Being cold was never a good thing, he had almost forgotten that she might be cold, because his hoodie was keeping him warm by the spell he had put on it earlier. He wasn’t sure whether or not he should do the same thing to her jacket; she seemed to like cuddling close to him. [/blockquote]

Anywhere she’d like to go… She thought a moment turning her head on his shoulder to rest her chin there, staring up at him from underneath thick eyelashes. Where did she want to go… “Hmmm…” She thought, closing her eyes. Where to go. Did they have to go anywhere? Walking was nice…But it might be nicer elsewhere. Somewhere fun. Though she had only invited him on a walk. Not on a tour of the campus necessarily. So…she should just say she didn’t know. But curiosity got the best of the girl. Of course. And she opened her eyes, smiling wildly.
“I’m new Dommie.” She removed her chin from his shoulder and just looked up at him. The statement came out as…well, just that. A statement. A fact. She was telling him she was new. Which made it sound kinda beside the point. Pointless, if you will. “You should take me somewhere fun, music man.” She giggled now returning the side of her face to his shoulder. He was fun. This she’d already established. So there wasn’t a doubt in her mind he’d do something fun with her. He was a cool buddy. And musicians were suppose to be creative…right? Right. Yeah, he’d definitely come up with something. She had confidence in him.
His statement about…well, her being cold being not so good…was true. Well, at least she agreed. “Nope, it’s not.” Again, another giggle. Boy was she giggly. And again her arm tightened around his. Well, duh. If she was cold. And he was obviously so warm. What point would there be in not trying to get closer. In a completely…not creepy kind of way. And it wasn’t like Bailey would notice said creepiness and do anything about it. She was so totally out of it. Her mind racing and clueing on little bits of information. The sound of their feet in the snow. The howl the of the wind and the feeling as it cut across her face. His voice. It was kinda smooth. Kinda soothing. Like a father, or grandfathers…or maybe a new friend…
“Why’d you come out with me Dom?” The question was sort of sudden…spontaneous. In all honesty Bailey hadn’t even the slightest clue why she asked it. It was random. End of story. Just a question right? No true or false. No right answer. Her little intoxicated mind was just curious. She was curious. And it was always fun to know. What drew people to do things. Drew people together. Always fun.
And remember? Bailey liked fun.

Uncomfortable. Forget about it. Ignore it. The words kept repeating themselves over and over again in his head. Being this close to someone was not something he was accustomed to, nor did he enjoy it very much, it just made him feel very awkward and out of place. And he kept having to push the idea of going back to his room and hiding from civilization out of his mind and remind himself why he was here, and why he didn’t want to leave. He wasn’t sure if leaving her was a smart idea, she could very easily get herself killed. Yeah, that was it.
She was new? He probably should have guessed that, since he had never seen her before. He might not know people very much, but he normally knew their name and what they looked like at least, even if he had never met them. he liked reading through the records of the students a little too much, but he just thought of it as part of his job description. Dominic was relieved when she removed her chin from his shoulder, he hadn’t like it being their very much. Though his relief was short lived, when she laid her head back on his shoulder, but at least it was better than her chin.
Now he just had to think of a place for them to go. He didn’t get out of his room very much, so he didn’t exactly know where the ‘fun’ places were. Or what her idea of fun was. ”What would you consider fun?” he asked, the words coming out in more of a monotone than he would have liked. His idea of fun was probably different from hers, very different, he didn’t know much about girls, unless they were younger than 13, and then he just knew make-up and flowers and bright pretty colors. Okay, so the only thing he knew about girls were about his little sisters, which didn’t help him very much.
So far he had just gotten that this girl probably did drugs, liked to giggle, and seemed to be completely oblivious to everything. Well, and she liked getting closer to him when she was cold. He didn’t mind it that much, but he was feeling completely out of his comfort zone right now, and he didn’t like that very much. Dominic had made up his mind, he would do something about her being cold, at least a little. Taking his free hand and brushing some of her hair back he muttered something under her breath, to help her feel a bit warmer, at least like there was a blanket around her. Yeah, not as warm as the spell for himself, but he didn’t want to take all of her fun away.
Dominic had been asking himself that very question. Why did he come out her to meet her? And actually stay out here with her? He wasn’t completely sure of why, but he knew basically why. ”Um, well, you asked me to, and I said I would.” that was about all he knew of why he did, he didn’t like going back on his word, and something was keeping him here. Something about her just made him want to stay out here with her.

What did she consider fun? Wow…What did she consider fun…Let’s ponder that a while, shall we? She laughed and nudged him a little, “Anything.” Another light giggle and she was back to resting her head on his shoulder. “As long as it’s with you.” And she definitely did not mean that in a because I love you and you are all I need sort of way. Not to be mean or anything. He was just…well, he was fun to play with. Kinda like a big brother that you can’t help but poke and prod at. Especially if he gives in all the time. Bailey didn’t necessarily have a brother…so she wasn’t quite sure what it was like. But if she had to pick from a list of people. Dommie would probably be near the top. If he could entertain her in this short amount of time…imagine what he could have done in her seventeen years of living!
She hardly noticed the change in temperature. But she did relax a little in her grip on Dominic. Not necessarily anything too noticeable. Again, the girl was kind of oblivious. Ok…she was really oblivious. “Walking with you is real fun.” She nodded, almost as if she were talking to herself, then continued, “But we should do something even more…funner.” Yep. ‘funner’. Can you blame her? The girl was flying high as the birds right now. It was a miracle she wasn’t a little more…trippy… But her footsteps were definitely pushing her across the path still. It was probably a good thing she wasn’t in her room right now…more opportunity to just keep poppin’ things. Wouldn’t want her ODing now would we?
“Yeaaaaaahhh…” She nodded, and nudged him again, almost having too much fun doing that. “But you didn’t have to come out.” But that was why she liked him to begin with. The boy was interesting enough to actually listen to some weird girl—yes, she knew she was weird—that he met on a chatroom. Who really could have been…anyone. And yet here he was. Walking with her. Talking with her. And she really didn’t feel like he was just humoring her… Then again…Bailey was a terrible judge.
“You could have ignored me.” She probably wouldn’t have known the difference. About fifteen minutes outside in the snow on her own. And she’d either forget…and walk back inside. Or she’d get over it, assume he just…was one of those people, and taken a walk on her own. But oh was she thankful he hadn’t.

Okay, she was officially creeping him out. Not to mention making him feel even more awkward and uncomfortable, if that was even possible at this point. He actually hoped that the girl was actually in fact high, because maybe then if she wasn’t she wouldn’t make him feel as awkward…doubtful, but he can still wish. ”Um…well, uh, does the park sound fun?” he asked, just saying the first place that popped into his mind. He didn’t normally go to places like the park, but then again, he didn’t normally leave him room, he also didn’t walk with pretty girls very often either. This day was just an unusual one for him.
Dominic was actually very good at noticing things, well, really it depended on what it was, but someone gripping his arm was definitely something he noticed. She might not have completely let go, but at least her grip wasn’t as tight, even if it was only by a little bit. Funner? Dominic couldn’t help but let a small chuckle escape his lips at that word. For some reason it didn’t surprise him that she had said funner, not at all. ”Um, uh, well, what would be more fun?” he asked, not taking his eyes off of the ground in front of them.
So the girl had a point, he didn’t have to come out. But he liked sticking to his word, if he said he was going to come out, than he was going to. ”I like sticking to me word.” he told her, trying to use as short of sentences as possible. Dominic had never actually considered that he shouldn’t have gone out to meet her because they met on a chatroom, he forgot that humans were normally taught that you shouldn’t do that. He never worried about this like that, if she really was some crazy person who wanted to kill him or something he had magic, and magic could protect him.
He shrugged. Maybe he could of, ignoring her would have solved his uncomfortable and awkwardness right now. But once he saw her he wouldn’t have been able to, it would just seem a little mean, and again, he didn’t like going back on his word. ”No, I couldn’t.” he stated simply.

“Will there be swings?” she inquired, absentmindedly bouncing through her next few steps. Of course parks would be fun. Parks made you feel like a little child. Parks were where you built things out of leaves and grass in the sandbox. Parks were where you pretended the ground of boiling lava so you stayed up on the ‘safe-ground’, otherwise known as the play structure. Parks were where you played hide and seek and spent anxious minutes in the little red tubes. Parks were where you could fly. And that…was probably the main reason Bailey liked parks. Swing sets. She was a bit too big for the little tubes now anyway…
“As long as I can fly…” she looked at him, cocking her head to the side and offering a large grin, “I mean swing—” a giggle “—then the park will be fun. I know it.” She smiled again, and returned her head to his shoulder. Meeting people and just…clicking at once. That was…well, fun was being overused…that was…exciting. Especially since so many others here just gave her strange looks or appeared as though they had something shoved up their ass. But Dommie was just…well it was almost as if he didn’t care. Which was fine enough for her. He didn’t even have to come outside. So the fact that he was outside…and talking to her…that was exciting.
“Even when it’s really cold out?” She asked. Yeah, honesty sure was the best policy, but when it came to freezing her ass off… Actually, Bailey was pretty unreliable anyway. Her mind didn’t seem to stick to one thing for too long. Especially when she didn’t anything thing in front of her to focus on. Lucky for Dominic he was entertaining. She could focus on him. At least until she had to somewhere else…doing something else…Which reminded her… “Is the park far?” Sure taken out of context the question made no sense. But she figured he could follow along. He’d done so well thus far.
He couldn’t’? She giggled, almost thrilled with the statement, and hugged his arm ever so tighter, despite the fact that she was actually fairly warm. “Because I’m fun?” She asked, finally releasing him and skipping around to walk backwards in front of him. Who cared if she missed a step, tripped and fell. Baily didn’t…
