uncovering the truth;
[/font]personality; Shani has never really been friendly to anyone. Even when she was human she wasn’t very nice. When she was turned into a vampire nothing really changed, except that she is a lot more dangerous of course. Shani is pretty much ice cold toward everyone and doesn’t let many people get close to her. When a person does by some odd occurrence gain her respect she makes an unwavering ally and friend.
Shani is very apathetic usually. When angered she is very confrontational but it takes a lot to do that. She generally looks down on everyone, no matter what race. Most likely, however, she will never let you know. Shani prefers to let her anger fester until she can do something about it and not get caught. When she wants to be vindictive she is ruthless and unflinching about it.
The one thing Shani respects above all is intelligence. If a person is at least mildly intelligent, chances are she won’t feel absalout contempt for them. If they’re very smart she might actually like them. She can’t stand it when someone acts idiotic or worse yet plays the idiot to aggravate someone. Shani once threw someone into a wall for acting like an idiot, they ended up in a hospital but didn’t die… she was having a bad day. This is the reason she was expelled from her school in NYC and her parents had no choice but to send her to Forevermore

personal history;
Shani was born into a very normal human family. Her mother, Lily, is the owner of many apartment buildings , which she rents out and her father, Arthur, is the executive of a large company. She grew up in quite a bit of wealth, living on the Upper East Side of New York. Shani always favored her Aunt Marie to her parents however. Her aunt was not nearly as successful as her parents but she was a lot more loving. Shani’s parents barely paid an attention to her as she grew up; she was essentially raised by nannies and her aunt.
Shani was pretty much hated by all the girls in her school from middle school up. She never bothered to make friends and a lot of girls were angry that guys seemed to like Shani so much. Shani was naturally pretty, she never had to wear an ounce of makeup to look good. A few girls actually attempted to start fight with her before she turned into a vampire. They soon learned that even tough she was only human (at that point) she was still dangerous. Shani had taken lessons in Judo since she was 10 and was considered a master by that point.
A vampire woman named Ravyn saw Shani one day as she was walking home from the subway station. Shani fascinated Ravyn. Ravyn saw how she held her head high and walked with such grace it was impossible not to look at her. Her beauty was the ultimate allure for Ravyn though. She could not resist making Shani into a vampire. Ravyn wanted Shani to be eternally marked as hers, she wanted to create someone far more powerful and lovely then herself just so she could claim that she made Shani.
Shani was turned by Ravyn only a two weeks before her 17th birthday. While taking a shortcut home from a gig she had went to Ravyn found her. Shani put up a big fight but although she got a few good hits in that did nothing to deter Ravyn. Someone found her writhing in pain in the allyway and called an ambulance. A while later the change was complete and Shani had turned into a vampire. She stayed at her old school for a while but that didn’t work out. On a day when she was really hungry some idiot antagonized her and she threw him into a wall. She was expelled from her old school and is now transferring into Forevermore.

Shani sat on top of an old stone bridge dangling her legs. They hit the stone behind them methodically as she stared at the moon. It was so very beautiful, a giant lantern in the inky black night.
“Darling, you’re a vampire not a werewolf. It’s not befitting for you to gaze at the moon so.” A too sweet voice slid like oil through the night. The sound almost making Shani gasp. Please don’t let it be her, anyone but her. She pleaded internally. But of course it was, it was the woman of her deepest nightmares. Ravyn, the one who had taken her mortality, the one who killed her. If she had less control of her features Shani’s face might have betrayed her fear but, as always, she looked impassive. Her head turned fractionally to glance at Rayvn before she looked back at the moon. In that one glance she had taken everything in. Rayvn looked no different, the same haughty expression on her face, the same too sexed up clothes, the same woman. Shani hated Ravyn with a passion but for all the knowledge that she was much stronger then Rayvn she was still afraid.
“The moon has been for as long as the earth, I think it rather fitting for an immortal creature to look upon it.” She replied, her voice a monotone. Shani had long since learned that any type of emotional reaction only gave Ravyn pleasure, it was best to be indifferent. Rayvn frowned at her and drifted closer. She lifted her hand to touch her but when Shani glared daggers at her, the only real expression she had used all night, Ravyn hastily pulled her hand back.
“We shall never agree on anything daughter of mine, will we?” Ravyn asked her, the expression on her face almost mournful. Shani sneered at her, exposing the fangs she had allowed to drop down. With one last hate filled glare toward Ravyn she leaped up and ran.
