She seemed to keep eyeballing him up and down. This action just made him more and more nervous. It was bad enough having them, she did not have to continue to gawk at his torso area. Benji shifted his weight and bit on his lip slightly. He took in her string of words with care. Yes, but you really didn’t need to get yourself hurt because I need to learn to say no when people I don’t know offer me drinks At this, his head lifted to look her square in the eyes. His own pupils looked astonished and bewildered with her choice of words.
After a swallow, he spoke his own sentances. The boy did not think to much about it, making his stammer much worse then it usually was. Ye-yeah, but what would have ha-happend to to you? He dropped his gaze a bit, knowing that his cheeks and ears were probably flushed. You, you would have been angry a-at me if i didn't do anything, r-right? Benji turned his head away from her. How come she had to make him so damn self-concious all the time? It really was not fair. Benji wanted to feel intimdating sometimes, not just intimidated.
Not that big of a deal? He frowned. Couldn't she just give it up? He really did not care. The boy had been beaten up much worse than this in his life-time. Still, she countinued to rage endlessly on about it. You got yourself beat up by the looks of it and got me here safely. I would call that a big deal Benji turned and wanted desperatly to be able to look her in the eyes, but he knew he really couldn't. Instead he did the next best thing and looked past her head. His gaze focused on the window behind her head. Lets just drop it alright.
He nodded knowing that nomatter how it played out, it would not be good for her to wake up to him sleeping next to her.
[ ooc - sorry, i have to go. it is done though :/ ]

Maybe she should just stop talking about last night at all, because it seemed like she was just making him extremely nervous. Though it was kind of funny how nervous he was, but she was trying not to let that show at all. But he did have a point when he spoke, what would have happened to her if he hadn’t intervened? Nothing good, that’s for sure. Saphira was actually very glad that he had intervened, she just wasn’t good at not making things into something bigger than they seemed sometimes. Seeing his cheeks turn a shade of red, a smile tugged at her lips, but she forced herself not to laugh even slightly. She couldn’t help but find it funny, he was like a nervous little kid, it was cute.
She doubted that she would have been angry at him, it was hard for her to get angry at people, she didn’t like being mad at anyone actually. “Well, I probably wouldn’t know that you hadn’t done anything. But I am grateful that you did. So, thanks, again.” she told him, finding his stumbling over his words amusing, it helped keep her mind off of her head, she just didn’t really want to say anything about it. He had done enough already for her, she could handle her head pounding for a little while.
Apparently he didn’t want to talk about this anymore, and if that was what he really wanted, then she wouldn’t press the issue anymore. She might want to, but she wouldn’t. “Alright then.” she sighed, wishing that he would actually look at her when he spoke again. With the new found silence, she found that it was quite hard to ignore the pain in her head, which felt more like someone was pounding a hammer up against her skull. Really she hadn’t wanted to say anything about it before, but she didn’t know what else to say right now. “Do you have any Aspirin?” she asked, rubbing her forehead again.

She could be right. He could not have intervined into the situation. He could have saved himself all the troulbe. He could not have the bruises on him. He could have acted differently in the situation. He could have grabbed her and ran. He could have not fought. He could have taken her to her own dorm. He could have left her. She could be right about the whole thing, but she could also be very wrong.
Benji released a shallow sigh of relief when they both agreeed that it was time to drop the subject of last night's dreadful event. That would be the end of what happened last night. He would not bring it up again, and hoped that she would follow his example. They could focus on other things instead. The seconds turned into minitues as they sat their. Neither knew exactly what to say to the other. The boy wanted to say something more, something to lighten the mood. He was not know to be the funniest guy, at least in his opinion, besides now was not a good time to tell a joke of any sort. 'A Priest, a Rabbi and a Minister walk into a bar. . .' No, this would not be a good time for something like that.
The boy satisfied himself by continueing to play with his fingers, just as he had before. He had almost forgotten that Saphira was there until she spoke again. Do you have any Aspirin? Now that he thought about it, Asprin might help his own aches as well. As glas as the boy was that she had suggested it, he was a little taken back that he had not thought of such an obvious idea.
Benji rose into a full stance sending the blanket slideing down to his feet. It was then that he realized he was only wearing his boxers. The sophmore hoped that she would not mind too much, she had been to a beach or a public pool, right? It was nothing new. Still, he added putting on pants to his mental notes. Uh, yeah. Sure. Making his way to his room, he ran his fingers through his hair once more. He made his way straight to the rest room and reached up to the top cabnit searching for the Asprin. All he could find was Advil. This would have to do.
Before wandering back over to the girl, he slid on a pair of bright yellow sweatpants. Glanceing down at the pants he grimaced a bit. It was a tad to early, but she had on his only other pair of sweats that he actually enjoyed wearing. On his way to the kitchen he spoke. I, uh, only have advil. Benji gathered two cups and filled them both with water. He set one of the cups on the counter along with two small pills. He shot down two of hil own pills before turning back to the fridge. A pale hand reached into the freezer and pulled out two waffles. He dropped them in the toaster then turned around to face the girl. He leaned up against the counter and crossed his arms over his bare chest. You hungry at all?

Now that they had both agreed not to talk about last night, she just had to make sure that she never brought it up again. Shouldn’t be that hard, most likely, because she was going to do her best not to let anyone find out, she would rather most people don’t know. There were some things that she just preferred to keep secret from the rest of the world, and this was going to be one of those things.
She really hadn’t wanted to make him do anything more, but it was either mention something, or sit in silence for even longer, and silence just made her focus on her head. She almost didn’t notice that he had stood up before he spoke, but she couldn’t help but notice that he was only in his boxers, and she was trying to ignore that fact as much as possible. She had gone swimming before, in a public place, but it always just made her feel extremely awkward and she tried to avoid them if at all possible.
The first thing she noticed when she looked up at him was that he had on bright yellow sweatpants now, which almost hurt her eyes to look at them. “That’s okay.” she said, tearing her eyes away from the yellow. Way too early for yellow, and her head seemed to agree with her on this. Standing up, she walked over towards the counter, picking up the pills and swallowing them with a little help from the water. “Thanks.”
Until he had said something, she actually hadn’t realized that she was hungry. She had been too busy focusing on the pounding going on in her head. But almost right on cue, her stomach growled. “A little.” she nodded, another growl erupting from her stomach, okay, maybe a little more than a little.

His eyes studied her face as she walked over to him and recieved the drink before swallowing the pills and some of the water eagerly. His mouth released a little chuckle at how her face was twisted so much at the pain that he assumed was in her head. It made him remember the days that he got drunk, high, or on occasions overdosed on a daily bases. He would participate in one of those then have a wicked hangover and drink or smoke some in attepmt to make the throbbin dissapear from him head. In a way, the kid missed those days but at the same time he was glad that he had found other activities to busy himself with.
His ears heard her stomach roar loudly for food before a weak A little was released from her mouth. Benji guessed that it was probably more than just a little by the way that she had vomited last night. He wrinkled his nose at the thought then tried to smooth his face. By the time that he replied, his voice was togeather and calm once more. I bet. Satisfied that his studder had left his words, he grinned a bit at this accomplishment.
His lean torso, that still held no shirt, strecthed across the kitchen to allow his lengthy arm to gather two paper towls in his hand. At the pop of the toaster he slid the waffles out of the machines and set them on the napkins infront of him. The food was hella hot but the boy only shook his hand to cool it down a bit. Gathering the napkins in his hand, he made his way over to where Saphria was standing. Handing one of the waffles to her his voice spoke gently to her. If you want any more, let me know. Although he was not stammering, the words were awfly quiet for the boy was still a bit shy.
After about four bits or so, Benji's throat began to beg for a cool liquid to drink. While filling a blue cup with ice, his other hand reached for the orange juice. He poured the juice into the cup then set it back in the fridge. After taking a sip of the drink he turned to the girl once more You? This whole situation was a bit akward, and their was no way in hell that he was making it any better. He just was not used to socializing often. He hoped that she would not find it annoying and get up and leave right now.

She wondered how long it would actually be until the pills started taking effect, normally it wasn’t that long, at least it never took as long as it said on the bottle in most cases. She guessed that it was because they were meant for humans, not shape-shifters or any other kind of species. Things always seemed to have a greater effect on her, like she could drink not even half a bottle of alcohol and be drunk. After a minute or so, Saphira could tell that it was starting to work. finally, her headache would be gone soon.
To Saphira it seemed like the food was taking forever to get done, but things always seemed to take longer when she really wanted it. And her stomach felt just about empty, he had said that she had gotten sick, but she was guessing that she had been puking a lot probably. Sighing, she bit her lower lip, trying to take her mind off of food for a few seconds, but that didn’t last too long before she heard the toaster pop.
She took the waffle that he handed to her. “Thanks/” she smiled. Hearing her stomach growl once more, she quickly bit into it, knowing that it was probably still hot, but she didn’t realize it was as hot as it was. She quickly pulled it back, fanning her mouth with her hand. “H..hot.” she stuttered. Yeah, she probably shouldn’t have done that, her mother did always tell her to wait for things to cool down before she ate them.
Blowing on the waffle a bit, she decided to take another bite. This time it wasn’t as hot, thank goodness. It wasn’t too bad, she preferred fruit, but right now she was hungry enough to eat anything. Hearing him speak again, Saphira tilted her head slightly. “Can I have some water?” she asked. She didn’t care too much for juice, but water was always good.

Aimlessly, a pale finger trailed along the rim of his own glass. It made several circles before slideing down to grasp the drink firmly before taking a swing. It was still cool and felt nice as it trailed down his throat. Once the glass was set back down, his eyes could not help but to watch as the girl took the waffle while muttering out a single word. "Thanks." His head bobbed in reply, knowing the words would pe akward for a response. "H. . .Hot" Immediatly, he felt quiet stupid for not mentioning the heat that came from it. The breakfast was rather hot, but it felt good against the orange juice. Orange juice. At that he became thirsty once more. After quietly finishing off the glass, which was only about a gulp or so, Benji spoke. Im sorry. I - I should have warned you, or something.
His eyes dropped to the counter as his pointer finger reached up again to trail along the rim once more. His gaze shifted, focussing on the rings on his fingers. One was a simple one with two rims and the Jesus fish running inbetween. The second was one with tints of gold in the bands, which were rounded and twisted togeather at one point. The third one was just a simple silver band with his full name written on the inside of the band. Finally, on his pinky was a plain black band. balling hs hand into a fist once he was done looking, his gaze dropped to his barefeet to look at the toe ring that wound itself around the toe next to the big one.
Can I have some water? The soft words brought him out of his trance and he gathered a cup. Assuming she would want ice after the hot comment, he gathered ice into the cup, careful not to touch the cubes with his own barehand. The boy then continued to fill the cup with water from the filter before handing it to her. Surprisingly, Benjamin was still not yet satisfied with his thirst. After he made coffee, his eyes turned to the girl across the small kitchen.
A question had benen bugging him for a while. And even though he had decided not to mention the whole last night thing, curiosity slaughtered the cat once more. Love, Of corse he bagan with the usually, small voice that made his words sound like he had a small habbit. The lanky male didn't, but it sounded like it. if,if you do not mind me asking, why why exactly did you get drink, las-last night? His gaze dropped before he rose it again, almost looking her in the eyes. Y - you do not have to answer that, of corse.

Saphira shook her head. It wasn’t his fault, the food was hot, it was suppose to be hot, and she had just been being an idiot again. ”It’s okay, there’s nothing to be sorry about. I should have realized that it was going to be hot.” she told him, giving him a small smile. He shouldn’t be sorry about anything right now, not in her mind at least. Though she was just going to keep that to herself, since they had already agreed not to talk about last night at all, and if they weren’t going to talk about it she could at least think about it. Not that she really wanted to though.
Pushing all thoughts to the back of her head, Saphira took another bite of the waffle. Food was really good right now, no matter what it was. And at least now it was too hot, it wasn’t burning her tongue to bite into it anymore. For some reason she wasn’t very fond of food that made it feel like your mouth was on fire. She knew some people liked it, but she never really did understand why.
Taking the cup from his hands, she smiled slightly. ”Thanks.” she told him, she was probably saying that a little too much now. Really, she wouldn’t be surprised if she annoyed him by just saying ‘thanks’ again. Bringing the cup to her lips, Saphira let the cool liquid slid down her throat. Oh water, how she loved it so. She wasn’t sure if it was that she hadn’t had much to drink except for alcohol recently, or that she just really liked water, but this water seemed like it was one of the best things she had ever tasted.
Saphira raised an eyebrow slightly; she thought they had decided not to talk about last night at all. Oh well, shrugging, she waved her hand. ”It’s alright, I don’t mind.” she said. Really, she didn’t know why she got drunk, she had never expected to. “I’m not really sure why I did, I just didn’t want to be rude and say no when the guy offered me a drink, and then he kept giving me more. I couldn’t say no and walk away, it would have seemed rude to me. And before I knew it, I was drunk.” she explained, realizing how stupid she had been last night.

He studied her face a bit while she shook her head. He was a tad complexed at why exactly she was shaking her head. Even though it was a small action, not even making her hair bounce, it confused him utterly. He was use to having people shake their head when they were upset or angry at him. How had he upset her? Benji had after all said that he was sorry for the heat of the food. Couldn't she just let it go? His feelings were crushed as well, for the boy thought that she hated him, even though he had given a sincere apology. There he went again, reading to much into everthing.
Once her soft, gentle words reached him, he calmed down drasticly. It’s okay, there’s nothing to be sorry about. I should have realized that it was going to be hot. As if the words were not enough, her small smile cleared every little bit of his doubt in himself. Still, Love. Sure he had not stuttered or stammered over the two words. But that was it, they were a meer two words. One of which came naturally. Even so, they were both slightly small, as if there was still a hint of self-conciousness in the words.
Taking another sip of his coffee a sigh was released to himself. The Coffee calmed him, yet it made him so tired. He litteraly wanted to crawl into his bed and sleep right at the moment. Yet he knew that it truly was not proper to even consider leaving a guest to drift of to sleep. Especially if this action was alone. And most certintly, he knew that Saphira was in no postion to sleep with him, even if nothing would happen. He just wanted to go to sleep. Soon enough, the thoughts were pushed away leaving a yawn that was quickly muffled by a balled, pale hand. Before he could slip out another sorry, he stopped himself knowing that he had not truly done anything wrong. Or atleast he hoped not.
His eye watched her hand flutter through the air in a slow, graceful motion. While she explained the reasons for the begining of last night, Benji's bare torso leaned foreward. His elbow resting on the counter as his chin rested on his balled hands. The silver rings dug into his skin automaticly, but he ignored this feeling for it happened so much. Once she was finished with her string of words, his own eyebrow quirked. Without thinking words stumbled from his mouth. So, do, do you want a beer or s-something?
Right when his own ears heard the words trail from his mouth, his cheeks turned to a rosy red. His blush was a slight one, but it was most definatly obvious against his pale skin. No, i mean. I-I didn't mean to say that. His body straightened. The deep brow eyebrows were twisted with a worry-filled expression. She surly had to be pissed of now. More quietly he added. Shit. The words was more to himself. In fact, Benji wished that she would not even be able to hear the curse. This idea was impossible. The girl was infact a creature. At the momment, he had forgotten what kind, but he knew that she was.
This idea filled him with even more worry. Benji was a meer human who broke easily. His bones were just as fragile as his feelings. His actions were slow and predictible compared to the ones of the vampires, demons, and the other creatures that roamed the campus. The thought made him swallow slowly as he took another step back. Somewhere inside of him, he seemed to realize how stupid he truly must look while he was fearful. It just seemed that Saphira could be so dangerous. The boy turly had no idea why it was that he felt this way, it was just something about her. Something that his small mind could not understand.
Trying his best to ease his own tension for he was not sure exactly how she felt about his sarcastic remark, the boy muttered a small question, Why, exactly, were you at, at that club in the first place? That certain club was known for the desperate tramps that went there and the men who brought them home on a regular basis. Of corse this made that club filled with action and hope. Benji, even though he was ashamed to admit it, enjoyed that club expecianoly. Maybe it was just watching people make the same mistakes over and over again. Or maybe it was just becase it had the most action. Yet it could still be that the bartenders were open to serving anyone any of the fabulous drinks there. Call him judgemental, but Saphira did not seem like someone who would be in a place like that.

Glancing up from her waffle, Saphira saw him quickly cover up a yawn with his hand. A small smile crossed her face. He was tired, which now made her feel bad, because she was keeping him up. And she had taken his bed last night, and she was sure that the couch probably did not give that good of a nights sleep. Really, he didn’t need to be doing all of this, he had done enough already just by getting her to the school safely. She had taken his bed, his clothes, and his food now also. Saphira just wished that she could do something for him now, but the only thing she could think of was to keep him alive this year.
Saphira stifled a laugh hearing the words come from his mouth. She was pretty sure he knew the answer to that; she had gotten drunk last night, she definitely did not want a beer. She was pretty sure she could probably at least get tipsy –probably more- by just one drink. ”It’s okay, I didn’t think you meant that. Really, don’t worry about it.” she told him, a smile crossing onto her face. She didn’t actually mind the question, it had been a mistake anyway, and she found it amusing.
She liked this kid, he was …amusing, and nice, and had actually helped her out. So he tended to stumble over his words and say some things that he didn’t actually mean to say, but she couldn’t blame him for that, everyone did that at least once. Anyways, he hadn’t taken advantage of the fact that she had been drunk last night, which not many teenage boys she knew would do, and just for that she felt like she had to repay him, even if it was in a way that he didn’t see.
Why was she at the club? Saphira bit her lip, trying to remember back to why she had decided to go to that club. She knew that she had had an actual reason, though now that she thought about it, she really shouldn’t have worn that skirt that she had, not to that club at least. Really, dumb idea. But she hadn’t exactly had very many bright ideas last night. ”It has some good music most of the time. I had just forgotten about most of the people that normally came there, though that wouldn’t have stopped me, I just would have dressed differently had I remembered.” she told him, shrugging slightly.
