&& she’s bold
Cass has never done a low-key thing in her life. She’s out to make an impact, and she won’t stop until she knows she’s succeeded at least that much. She wants to be noticed. It’s probably a bit of middle child syndrome or something. Her older brother gets attention for being older. Her younger brother got attention for being younger. She does everything she can think of to make herself stand out. She works very hard to get good grades and has played every sport she can think of that’s supposed to be designated for guys. If she’s the only girl on the team, she has to be making a point, right?
&& she’s silly
Life is a joke. Really, it is. You’re born and you die. Cass has never really seen the point of all the time in between, so she tries to make a joke out of everything. Especially now that she knows she’s got a few hundred extra years to fill up. She hates being a vampire and the whole being serious thing only makes her think. That being said, she does absolutely everything she can think of to distract herself and everyone else from the here and now.
&& she’s shy
It wouldn’t really be expected of someone who tries so hard to be different that she’s shy. The truth is, though, most of the people she knows only know half of her. They know who she is in a crowd. It takes a special sort of person to get her to really open up and stop putting on a show. So far, her brothers were the only ones who could get that close.
&& she’s argumentative
Cassadee loves to be right. She does all she can to spark up an argument just for the chance to prove that she’s somehow smarter than whoever she’s fighting with. The truth is, she probably does know more about whatever’s being discussed than the other people involved do. She spends entirely too much of her time learning things she didn’t know already.
&& she’s dramatic
If life isn’t busy being a joke, it always has to be a show. Cass loves to entertain the people around her in one way or another. If her hair color and wardrobe choices weren’t enough to clue you in, she’s certainly a bit of a drama queen. If she trips over something, she’s liable to make it sound as though she nearly died. It’s all in good fun, though, really.
&& she’s easy to anger
Of course that should be expected. She’s dramatic in every other way. One word out of line and she’ll do her best to tear you to shreds. She’s exceptionally defensive and quite a good fighter despite her size. If you call her short, you’d better start counting your days. She hates being reminded of the fact that she’s smaller than most people.
&& she’s afraid
She puts on a good show, but most of her personality can be attributed to the fact that she’s scared. She’s seen her younger brother die and she knows that she’s got entirely too many years left to watch her loved ones slip away. She’ll outlive almost everyone she knows. It’s really pretty intimidating to realize that, and she’s spent a lot of time looking for ways to make sure she doesn’t live too long. She’s even considered joining the games just to be sure she doesn’t have to watch everyone she loves die.

personal history; Even on the day of her birth, Cassadee had to be difficult. In the middle of the heat of summer, her poor mother was wandering around overly pregnant. These things are supposed to last nine months, but Cass just wasn’t ready to get out yet. She was comfortable and stubborn already. But, two and a half weeks after she should have been born, the girl’s mother decided to induce labor, and the girl was forced out into the bright white room, crying loudly enough to wake everyone in the hospital.
Her loud entrance was a pretty good indicator of how the girl was going to spend the rest of her life. She was constantly loud, doing her best to attract attention. This behavior only increased with the birth of her younger brother. Babies, apparently, require a lot of attention. The girl has been throwing excessively dramatic fits for years. She generally knows how to get what she wants and she has never been afraid to try.
Annoyed by her behavior, her parents tried their hardest not to pay attention to her. Eventually, they decided that boarding schools would be a good option for her. She, of course, put up a major fight and ended up in a work camp rather than a boarding school for a few years. When she was fifteen, her parents decided to give her another chance. They sent her to the same school her old brother was attending. At first, she thought of putting up a fight. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been, though. At least she’d have Shawn.
Somewhat reluctantly, the girl packed her stuff up and headed for the school. It didn’t take her long to notice the extreme number of students who never made it home for summer vacations, though. The idea interested her, and she’s been doing her best to learn as much as possible about the games since then. She only stopped her studies when her younger brother, Kyle, was killed in a car accident. Always the social sort, he’d made friends with the popular crowd. He was at a party with a group of high schoolers and agreed to let one of them drive him home. Unfortunately, the driver was drunk and their car made friends with an oak tree.
Recklessness had always been the best way for Cass to deal with her issues and she ran away after she found out about her brother’s death. Just because she’d been jealous of the attention he got didn’t mean she didn’t love him. The human body can only run for so long, though, and she eventually stopped in an old warehouse for a rest. Seemingly abandoned buildings are probably not the safest place for a nap, though. Cassadee found herself face to face with a man who looked more like a monster than anything. A sick smile twisted his face and his hand gripped hers before she could think to move. Her first instinct was to yell, and she went with it. Unfortunately, there was no one around to hear her. The beast only smirked at her, showing abnormally long canines. She shook her head in disbelief. A vampire? Those only existed in books and movies! Though she flailed wildly against him, the thing was stronger than her and she winced as his fangs pierced the flesh of her wrist.
That was the last moment she actually remembered. She assumed there must have been more to it than that, but the few days disappeared in a blur of white-hot pain. When she finally began to feel a little more alive, she realized that she’d never left that building. Confused, she wandered around a bit before realizing she was stronger and more graceful than she’d been before. She was also intensely hungry. Figuring she ought to get home before anything else happened, Cassadee pointed herself in that direction. Unfortunately, she crossed a park before she got home. A group of boys were there, smoking cigarettes in the dark. The smell of smoke mingled with something sweet she couldn’t quite place and she felt her own canines extend. Sickened by the idea, but completely unable to stop herself, the girl pounced, taking down all three of the boys. When she was finished, she found she could think a bit more clearly. She knew she couldn’t go home. Everyone there was a blood buffet as far as her new self would be concerned. So she convinced herself to head back to the school. Everyone knew there were students there who weren’t human. She’d just be like them from now on. Hopefully it wouldn’t be as awful as it seemed.

Chy couldn't help but blush at the mention of her overly dramatic lifestyle. She'd never thought that much about it before, but the situation was quite like a soap opera. Hopefully it would have a better ending. She really didn't want to lose her friend over this. Hopefully there was some wonderful way to get the guy and keep the friend. Besides, Scarlett had a boyfriend already. Couldn't she just be happy with the one she had?? "If it makes any difference, Scarlett, my best friend, she already has a boyfriend." By this point, she was pouting. In some ways, Chyler was so like a child.
As she waited, she Della continued with her advice. Chyler wasn't sure if she should have asked at all, though. She didn't think she was capable of not being concerned with Scarlett. The girl had been her only friend for years, and Chyler really wanted her to be happy. It just so happened that this was the first time Scarlett's happiness would compromise Chyler's. Maybe she was childlike enough to be selfish in this aspect.
A slow grin broke across her face as she realized she was, in fact, perfectly selfish enough for that. She wouldn't have been trying to figure out how to win William over if she wasn't. "Alright. I can handle the whole not being worried about Scarlett being happy thing... And I'm sure she won't mind that much... I mean, she gets everything else she wants." Chyler stopped herself. She was getting close to becoming rude, and she didn't like it. Hopefully this new determination wouldn't turn her into a person she didn't like.
The thought made her laugh a little. Della seemed to work by the rules that Chyler was persuading herself to follow, and Chy liked her room mate well enough. Obviously living life by the rules the girl could teach her wouldn't make her an awful person. Flopping off of her bed, she crossed the room and stole a few chips from the bag Della was holding. She popped one into her mouth and moved to pick up the bag of movies. "So.... where do we start?" she asked, pulling out a copy of She's All That. She'd heard about the movie when she was younger, but she'd never bothered watching it. Somehow, though, the story of turning the dorky artist into the pretty prom queen seemed like something she could stand to watch this time.
