Morning was definitely not Helena’s favorite part of the day. Honestly, she couldn’t stand mornings. Sometimes she could deal with them, but on others, she just wanted them to be over as soon as she woke up. Today was one of the days when she just wanted them to be over, almost as soon as she opened her eyes. Looking over at her bass guitar she groaned, normally she would practice as soon as she had awaken, but she just didn’t feel like it today, but not feeling like playing bass was completely un-Helena like, and she was perfectly aware of that. She knew what would make her wake up, and get her thinking straight, but she had to actually get up off of her bed to go get it. Coffee.
Pushing herself out of her bed, Helena took a glance around her room. Her eyes fell upon her pair of slip on vans, which she slid her feet into as fast as she could (which was incredibly slower than usual do to the fact that she had just woken up). She didn’t bother changing before she turned to leave her room, and she only stopped for a few seconds to pick up her cell phone, iPod, lighter, and pack of cigarettes, which just happened to all be in a pile waiting for her. Sliding them into the pockets of her pajamas she exited her room, and made her way down to the cafeteria, only tripping over her feet twice along the way. Helena didn’t stay in the cafeteria for very long though, she took one looked around and noticed that if she wanted coffee she would actually have to make it herself because the pot was empty, and honestly, she didn’t want to do anything right now, let alone make her own pot of coffee.
Helena didn’t bother saying a word to anyone, or even acknowledge that anyone was there. She just turned around, and walked out of the cafeteria, finding her way to the front doors of the school. She didn’t really care that she was about to walk outside in her pajamas, she just wanted coffee. Though her pajamas weren’t that horrible, they were actually much better than her normal choices, it was only some black and white stripped pajama pants and a black tank top. Not the embarrassing, but still noticeably pajamas.
Her feet already knew the way there, she didn’t even have to look up from the pavement before she found herself inside of the coffee shop. Lifting her head up, a small smile crossed her face. She loved the smell of coffee in the morning, and she liked the coffee here better than the stuff made in the cafeteria anyway. So maybe it was a good thing that the coffee pot had been empty. Completely forgetting about how much she dislikes morning, Helena walked up to the counter, “One large caramel macchiato.” she said. Helena waited a few minutes before she was handed her coffee, and she handed over the money.
Looking around, Helena noticed that the place was almost completely empty. It didn’t really bother her at all, she was just surprised, it was mid-morning, normally more people were getting coffee around this time. Well, at least it meant that more booths were empty. Letting her eyes scan the room, they landed on a booth in the corner away from everything else. It looked good enough to her. Taking a sip of her coffee she headed over to it, being extra careful not to spill her coffee or trip. She didn’t want any of her coffee going to waste, wasting coffee was not a good idea in her book. She was actually surprised at herself when she reached the table, she hadn’t spilled anything or tripped, which was very rare for her. Not that she minded at all, she liked it very much actually. Taking a seat at the empty booth, she thought she heard the door open, but she wasn’t sure, it could have been her overactive imagination. Shrugging, she took a rather large gulp of the caramel macchiato.

The sunlight slipped through the small opening on the invader zim curtains. The bright light illuminated Yoshi's face. They boy was curled up in his cozy and soft bed, hugging an ugly doll plush toy that tightly wrapped around his arms, his knees drawn up to his chest. His eyes twitched a little when the bright light caressed them softly, Yoshi refused to welcome the warmth and light just yet and turned to his other side. The light had interrupted his dream, he had been day dreaming that he had a hair salon, not just a hair salon but THE hair salon, the kind that you had to make reservations months in advance just to get "squeezed in".He was the make up artist and hairstylist wanted badly, and to make it better he was married to a male model/rock star the guy had straight brown hair with red tips, he had honey colored eyes and a charming smile and Yoshi had him wrapped around his finger. The last thing he remembered from his dream was that he had two children an adopted Chinese girl and a Vietnamese boy they were both around the ages of three and six and they were just the cutest.
A small giggle escaped his lips as he smiled brightly, the alarm in his phone started to play a song and now that Yoshi was hyper and happy he turned it off and welcomed the sun with opened arms. Standing up from his bed he oped the curtains as he sighed happily.A sudden rush of happiness ran down his body and the boy began to jump and twirl around his room as he hummed an unfamiliar tune. After jumping for a few minutes Yoshi grabbed his towel and made his way down to the bathroom. Yoshiki woke up very early, but that was because his father always woke him and his brother up before the sun was even up and now even with his father not there to supervise him Yoshi woke up unnaturally early which gave him lost and lots of energy. Entering the bathroom he found no one around him so he took a long and relaxing bath.
Half and hour later he walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and his raven colored hair sticking to his face as he made a trail of water drops.Once reaching his room Yoshi opened his closet and sat on his bed as he observed his clothes, what to wear? now there was a tough question, not that he worried about trends because like he always told people "honey I don't follow trends, they follow me"he always said with a small snap as if he was all that, which always sounded funny because Yoshi wasn't egotistical or self centered. The sun was finally shining brightly and he could hear a few moans from the boys who were suffering from hangovers and from the ones who weren't morning people.
Finally deciding on skinny black jeans, a pink Invader zim shirt, black invader zim slip ons, a hello kitty hoodie and adding a black lip and nose ring and Invader zim bracelets Yoshi was almost ready to go. To say that Yoshi was an Invader Zim fan would be an understatement he loved everything about the show and he could be always seen with something Invader zim related on him, or around him. He decorated his eyes with black glittery eyeliner and fixing his hair. The back part reached up to his shoulders, but the front part was just long enough so that he could make a side bang that'll cover his left eye. Placing the Hoodie on his head , Yoshi modeled for a few seconds as he started to giggle.
Closing the door of his dorm Yoshi made his way down the stairs and out of the Academy, making his way to the coffee shop. He put on his headphones and blasted off one of his favorite J-pop songs. Instead of walking down the street Yoshi skipped and danced down the street until he reached the coffee shop, humming softly to wards the cashier who stared at him like he was on crack as he order his raspberry tea and rainbow cookie. One of the other people working there tried to hide a small giggle when looking at Yoshi, it was obvious that the only thing that wasn't women's clothing was his pants and under ware but other than that it was all girl thing and the giggle was probably also because of how he was standing, his hip kind of sticking more to one side(much like a girl would stand) as he crossed his arms ever so delicately. Once he received the cup of tea and giant cookie he made his way to a booth, sitting close to this girl that seemed to be out of it. Yoshi took one of the headphones out and turned down the volume. Nevertheless he continued to dance in his seat as he took a small bite out of the cookie and a small sip of the tea.

Helena was kind of out of it. She was just sitting there staring, at nothing really. She didn’t even know what she was staring at right now, she was zoned out, not really thinking about anything either. If something was happening around her, then she wasn’t aware of it, not yet at least. The coffee hadn’t kicked in yet, but she had also only taken one drink from it so far, which was pretty rare, but she almost felt like she was still asleep and was not very good at remembering things right now. Honestly, she had forgotten for a few seconds that she did have her coffee.
In the back of her mind she might have been aware that someone else had actually walked into the coffee shop, but she didn’t realize it fully yet. Helena had blocked out all the sound around her, not on purpose and she actually didn’t know that she had done so, but she did that a lot. Bringing the cup back to her lips, she took another drink, glad to have the hot liquid with her right now; she hated being awake but not really being awake like she was now. And coffee always made her fully awake.
It took her a minute or two to realize that someone had sat down at her booth. Taking another sip of her coffee, she gently placed the cup on the table, and before even taking a good look at the person, she hugged him. What else did you expect her to do? Helena Rush always hugged people, and had very few exceptions to that. Letting go, she pulled back, giggling slightly. Now she took a good look at the person, she could tell her wasn’t exactly human, but beyond that she didn’t know, except she was pretty sure that he was gay. ”Hello!”

Yoshi allowed the steam that was coming from the tea cup to touch his smooth skin, turning his fair cheeks a very pale rosie color. The smell wrapped itself around his pierced nose, he couldn't help but to smile, not only did it smell wonderful but it tickled his nose which relaxed him in a weird way. Wiggling his a few times as he continued the random aromatherapy of sorts Yoshi began to giggle. The steam touched his face and the tickled it which make him giggle for some full good minute, and the fact that he giggled for a full minute made him giggle even more which inevitably started a giggly chain reaction. Waiting for the giggle fit to stop, Yoshi entertained himself with the music flowing through his ears, it was the perfect song to fill the awkward silence that the almost dead people in the cafe were creating. Apparently he was one of the rare few who was happy since they woke up.
The werewolf continued to his music, the song playing right now was some Spanish rock song that was mixed with cumbia and salsa, he didn't speak fluent Spanish and even if he didn't speak a lick of it chances were he would still have the song in his ipod. To Yoshi it wasn't that much about the lyrics but more about the beat and how the singer(s) voice flowed with the rhythm and the music. Basically to get Yoshi to like any song, the only requirement is that it has to be danceable. He was almost too into the song that he had forgotten about the girl sitting in the booth but his attention went back to her when he hugged him. Being the random and hugable person he was Yoshi did the only logical thing, he hugged her back.
His hug was really not that tight because he wasn't that strong but he hugged it as if she was his best friend from kindergarten or something, which in fact he did to all people he hugged. It was actually refreshing to meet someone who liked hugging strangers. From his four years of experienced in the Academy, Yoshiki had learned that a lot of people don't like getting randomly hugged by someone. This specially applied to the boys, who apparently did not like getting hugged by another boy in the morning and to top that, a lot of the would show how much did they not like that. Because of that Yoshi had gotten into his fare share of trouble and had gotten a few bruised arms and eyes but nevertheless he still hugged people, although now he made sure not to hug any boy in the morning.
Hello! said the girl and Yoshi gave her a smile and replied with a warm and bubbly " Hi, Hi!". Yoshi focused on the girl for the first time and actually looked at how she looked, he had to admit he was a pretty one. As he looked at her face and clothes, Yoshi could only assume the girl had just rolled out of bed "Having a good morning so far?" he asked taking a sip of his tea, that was Yoshi always asking about the wellbeing of others, because if they seemed down he took it as his responsibility to cheer someone up. Mainly because it was fun to watch someone smile and he people have tried to make him feel bad before, some had succeeded and it wasn't a good feeling and he didn't one anybody to feel bad or sad.
Looking back at the girls pajamas and smiled "Love your Pj's by the way" he told her. Yoshi is the type of people who wouldn't mind wearing pajamas to school or even walking around in his under ware, but given the fact that he had a very skinny frame and that most of his pajamas were shorts he didn't do that. He felt that nobody really wanted to see his chicken legs in baby blue shorts or his very flat and slim torso on a white spaghetti strap tank top.

He hugged back! People actually hugging her back when she hugged them was rare, mainly because most people didn’t like a random person hugging them. It made her happy that someone else was okay with her hugging them. Helena knew it was always a risk hugging people, especially here, you didn’t always know what species they were and some of them really weren’t very nice. Though normally vampires and demons were the worst, and it didn’t help that she really wasn’t strong at all, but she still hugged most of them anyway. She didn’t always have the brightest of ideas.
A smile curled onto her face, he hugged her back and was actually talking to her. He seemed alright so far, definitely one of the better people around this place. ”Yeah, haven’t really done anything yet, but it’s been good so far.” she nodded. Helena lifted her cup of coffee to her lips, taking a small sip. ”What about you? You seem a bit…perky for it being this early.” she asked, even though honestly she didn’t know the time, if she had at one point, she had forgotten it by now, but eh, she didn’t care about being accurate on time, it was a …waste of time.
Okay, he was definitely one of the better people around here, and one of the nicer ones that she had met in the past three years here. Many people would have made fun of the fact that she was wearing her PJ’s right now. ”Thanks!” she exclaimed. ”Your clothes are awesome too, I was just too lazy to actually change.” she told him, quickly glancing at his clothes to refresh her memory…she had only seen them a little bit before she hugged him, and she didn’t remember much, but morning and her didn’t mix very well together.

The werewolf smiled when the girl said she had been having a good morning, he didn't really know why it was so crucial for him that the people around him were laughing and happy but it was. Even if the laughter was at his own expense, the embarrassment of something would pass eventually and everything would be back to normal, and more than a handful of people have refrained for making too much of Yoshi, mainly because he was sweet and caring and people thought he might be somewhat fragile, apparently people don't enjoy being seeing as the douche who made the sweet little gay boy cry.
What about you? You seem a bit…perky for it being this early.” Yoshi shrugged and giggled "oh I'm Fabulous darling" He said with another giggle, yes Yoshi giggled quite often perhaps too often. Other than his hugs, his giggles and randomness had caused him a bit of trouble in the past, his giggles would sometimes get downright annoying to people who weren't used to such a happy and perky being and the randomness well people either too it as him hitting on them or him just having too much sugar in his system. "I don't know, I'm perky at all times of the day" He answered her question truthfully.Today he had a wonderful and romantic dream, but when he woke up with no recollection of dreams he would still wake up smiling and happy, maybe Yoshiki was one of the few people that were born truly happy.
"Thank you" Yoshi said when the girl complemented on his outfit, he didn't really dress up for people but it was nice to hear a compliment once in awhile. "And I think you shouldn't change, you look cute as it is" He told her "Plus, you'll give a reason for people to stare at you" Yoshi added in a more jokeful tone. Even if it was a joke Yoshi believed 'hatin" and imitation were like a huge complement, his philosophy always was "if two people are hating on you right now, you need to figure out how you're going to get four haters by the end of the month". He giggled inside of his head as he remembered his words of wisdom.
Realizing he hadn't introduced himself a hand went on his cheek as he gasped softly, "oh where are my manners, I'm Yoshiki Nakano but feel free to call me Yoshi" he said, perhaps his surprise was a bit melodramatic but is Yoshi we're talking about so is expected of him. Taking a large gulp of his tea and a bite out of his cookie he looked at the girl once more "cookie?" he offered as he took another sip of his tea.

Mornings were never the best part of Helena’s day, but so far this morning hadn’t gone that bad. She had tripped, fell, landed flat on her face, or run into anyone yet. And she was already drinking coffee and no one had made fun of her yet. No one had tried to attack her or eat her yet either, and she wasn’t hungover. So yes, so far this morning was good, or at least a lot better than it could have been and better than some she has had before.
Helena let out a small laugh at his words. Well at least he was alright, he seemed pretty nice. ”Well that’s good.” she said, smiling. It was always good when people were doing good, she hated it when people were sad, it was always so depressing and made her think of sad things…and she had a lot of things that could easily make her sad. Taking another sip of her coffee, she heard him speak again. ”Why does that not surprise me?” she asked, shaking her head slightly. For some reason he seemed like he would be perky at any time, she might have just met the boy, but he seemed like he would be like that. Not that it was a bad thing, it was fine, she just could never be like that as hard as she tried.
She let out another laugh at his words, glad that she didn’t have any coffee in her mouth at the moment. She wasn’t sure if people staring at her was a good thing, but they always stared at her anyway. Either for the clothes she was wearing, her hugging, or the fact that they actually knew who she was already because of all her siblings and were whispering something about how she was going to get herself killed also. Though the later occurred more often with teachers than students. ”Oh, they find reasons to stare at me anyway.” she told him, bring the cup of coffee back up to her lips.
Oh, yeah, they had forgotten about something hadn’t they? Things easily slipped her mind, and it happened a lot, but still, she probably should try and not forget about things as often. ”Eeeksomes! I can’t believe I forgot about that too! Well, it’s nice to meet you Yoshi. I’m Helena.” she told him, not caring about her last name right now, it wasn’t really necessary, right? Right. ”COOKIE!” she exclaimed, her eyes widening a bit. She loved cookies.
