Niki had a deep scowl on her face as she stomped down the hallways of Forevermore. Her facial expression alone kept most of the humans at a distance and the others simply went about their business. Niki smiled wryly, she had come here so she wouldn’t be so isolated and the difference between human and others was simply more pronounced. The thought made her scowl even more and now she could smell the human’s adrenaline pumping. Smell the agitation racing through the crowd. Never fear, little humans I’ll not take my aggression out on you. She thought before pushing open the door that lead to the fields. Niki was fully planning on riddling the practice targets with holes though. She had just had to deal with a particularly idiotic kid who somehow thought that pick pocketing was a smart thing to do in Forevermore. If Nicoletta had been slightly more vindictive she could have broken his arm but she hadn’t. Actually, she was pretty sure she had scared the kid so bad he might start doing community service of his own volition. None the less she was extremely agitated and bored being that classes had just ended. Niki really wanted something to take her mind of the irritating and boring situation. Nicoletta’s boots crunched on the half frozen snow as she made her way to the practice targets. Little metal men all lined up in a row. Niki smiled as she faced them and reached for her precious Beretta then reached inside another pocket in her coat for ammo. This was her favorite part of shooting, the loading. There was just such a satisfying click when it went in and you knew you were seconds way from firing. Niki straightened and lifted her gun. She emptied her round into the little metal men and grinned as she saw the perfect head and heart shots. Ah yes, victory was sweet even if it was against practice targets. Her irritation now dissipated she put the safety back on the gun and shoved it into her coat. She sank gracefully down on the ground and sighed. Now she was bored instead of irritated. “Is there anything to do here?” She muttered in annoyed tone to herself. She was beginning to get annoyed with this school in general and she needed a distraction. Her sharp ears detected the sound of someone walking behind her right before her nose caught scent of the girl.

Heavy black boots crunched through the snow, as Demensia meandered around the grounds of the school. She rolled her eyes at the snow that covered the ground and even continued to fall every now and then. Winter was her least favorite season, she hated cold weather, it prevented her from going barefoot, and it even hurt her paws in wolf form. Pulling her scarf from her nose, she scented the air. Nothing, but cold air entered her nostrils, almost instantly turning her nose a tented red. She quickly wrapped the scarf back over her nose, sighing at what little warmth it brung. Her usually dark crimson lips, were now a pale lavender hidden under the scarf as well. Her gloveless fingers were already becoming numb. She pushed them into her pockets with force, but it didn't help much.
A sharp breeze whipped past her, bringing with it the faint scent of a female. The wind was so strong she could smell it even through the scarf that covered the bottom half of her face. Turning in the direction of the scent, she picked up her pace some. It came from the sports fields. Removing the scarf again, she drank in the cold air around her to get a better scent. Covering her nose imediately after, she tried to determine who it was. The cold numbed her nose a bit and made it somewhat harder to make out scents, another downfall to this weather. Rolling her eyes again, she believed it to be the scent of Nicoletta. This forced her into a jog, bits of snow flinging from the bottom of her boots with each step.
She could make out the figure in the distance as she made a few shots, hitting each metal practice man with precise aim. That was definitely Niki. A sly grin crossed her face under the scarf, as she watched, slowing a bit, while Niki finished up her last few shots then slid onto the ground. By this time, she was in ear shot. Unfortunately she was thinking the same thing she was. She took a few steps foward, knowing that Niki must have known she was there by now. "Nope." The word ended with a sigh of her own, as she answered her friend's question with a pessimistic attitude. A smile followed the word, showing a bit in her clear eyes, for her lips still remained hidden under the scarf.

The cold didn’t really bother Niki, she had realized lately that she could retain a lot of heat even in her human form. This, among other things, was one reason why she loved being a werewolf. There was defiantly perks in being a bit more than human. However, the wind today was biting, the cold didn’t bother her much but the wind was causing her skin to get a little raw. She crossed her arms and sighed again, boredom taking over her thoughts of the cold. Niki smiled when she realized her friend was approaching. True, Niki hadn’t known Demensia for long but as soon as the wind shifted directions Niki recognized the scent. She turned around and smiled at the sight of Demensia bundled up to her eyes. Apparently her friend wasn’t as cold friendly as she.
“Hello Demensia.” She drawled, smiling. At last something to pull her out of her boredom. If anyone could do that it was most defiantly her brazen, playful friend. She had met Demensia a while ago and at first they hadn’t really gotten along. Well… that may have been an understatement. They weren’t friendly at all. One night though, Nicoletta and she had ended up running together, though at the time they hadn’t realized it. When morning came and they changed back into their human forms they had realized they had more in common then they thought. From that point it seemed natural to fall into friendship. She stood up and walked over to Demensia.
“So has your day been any more delightful then mine?” She inquired sarcastically, a sneer marring her face. She was still annoyed with the kid although her anger had dissipated.

Taking her hands from her pockets, she tugged at the edges of her unzipped black hoodie, and wrapped them around her slender torso; overlapping them for extra warmth, when another icy breeze whipped at her pale skin. Why did I decide to go outside again? She asked herself, annoyed and confused at her decision to do so. Though, at least there had been some good to this, she had found Niki. The two had grown so close since the first day they met. Giving her friend another smile as she greeted her, she nodded her own greeting, before shivering slightly at yet another harsh, but lighter breeze.
Sarcasm hit the air like a bitter, but relieving twist as Niki asked if her day had been delightful. She laughed at the joke, but it was more of a huff, for she knew exactly how she felt. "Oh, yes, it sure has." Her reply was just as sarcastic, as she added in extra enthusiam to her words. She laughed a bit more as she ended her statement, then looked back up toward the school. Her body was calling out for warmth, this weather was going to drive her insane. Then she remembered the club, maybe they could go there?
Her eyes shifted back over to Niki, wandering if she would be up to it. She knew they both loved to dance, almost as if it was in their blood. At least, that's how she felt, dancing almost seemed to give her a natural high. There wasn't much that could beat that feeling. Of course one thing could, but that was another story. Demensia grinned inwardly at the thought, but washed it away, to ponder on the idea of going out to the club instead of staying here freezing to death.

Niki frowned worriedly at the sight of Demensia pulling her sweater tighter. She knew that her friend didn’t like the cold much but she was still worried. Demensia looked like she was freezing. The wind whipped into Niki’s face and she winced, the cold wasn’t bothering her but the wind was. She glanced at Demensia’s scarf and wished she had had the foresight to bring one. The wind was biting and her cheeks were turning red.
Niki laughed along with Demensia after she had replied with an equally sarcastic remark. She smiled sympathetically; apparently neither of their days was going so well. “So what happened with you to make your day so great.” She asked with a grin, she was kind of glad she wasn’t the only one having a less than perfect day. She frowned again as she caught sight of Demensia shivering slightly.
“You look like your dying of hypothermia.” She told her, laughingly. She gestured around at the frozen space around them. “You want to get out of here to someplace warm?”

Observing her friend's facial expressions, she could almost tell what she was thinking. A frowned curved from her lips, as she watched Demensia with concern in her eyes. Then another breeze lashed by, this time hitting Niki's face, turning her cheeks a tented red. She watched as she winced, her friend never complained about the cold, so Demensia had just assumed it never really bothered her. It usually didn't bother people as much as it bothered her, but she just figured she was weird. The wind, on the other hand, bothered many people, so that was probably what was getting to Niki. She thought of the club again, the warmth that would greet them when they entered the crowded, dim lighted, music blasting room. Dancing alone would warm her up, she grinned again at the thought and wondered if her friend was thinking the same thing.
She pushed these thoughts away when Niki spoke up. The first thing she had said after laughing at her sarcasm, was a question. She had asked what happened to make her day so great. Demensia shrugged, but before she could answer the question with words, Niki spoke again. She held back a laugh at her next statement, 'You look like you're dying of hypothermia.' It felt like she was, that was for sure. Then she asked the question that she had been waiting for. The words that would get them out of this awful windy, snowy, freezing weather.
"I thought you'd never ask!" She laughed, ignoring her first question at the moment, while she dramatically answered the second one. Reaching an outstretched hand to her friend, she waited for her to take hold so she could politely help her out of the snow. While she waited, she decided to answer the other question. "Well, let's just say the highlight of my day was being awakened by Manix." She supressed another laugh, as she thought of the over-sized canine jumping onto her bed and covering her face in doggie slobber. He always woke her up early, that's why she never owned an alarm clock. If she was ever late, it was because he was probably because he was too sick to wake her, or she just kept pushing him off the bed to sleep in. On weekends, it was the worst, even though the two could talk to and understand one another, he still never listened. He always wanted her up when he was up.

The happiness and relief on Demensia’s face was almost comical when Niki suggested going inside. The girl seriously did not like cold. Niki herself was starting to get a little annoyed with the wind and she wanted to get somewhere warm too. But not the school, no, not the school. She was tired of forevermore at the moment and she wanted to get somewhere, anywhere else. Her wolf side begged for somewhere close and compact, wanting to be in a den during the cold winter. The closest Niki could think of was a club she and Demensia both frequented. Nicoletta grasped her friends hand and hauled herself up.
“You know, I’m feeling like a little dancing. How about you?” She asked her friend with a hopeful grin. She hoped that Demensia would want to go to the club, Niki was eager to be among the flow of bodies. A drink or two to alleviate the stress of her day wouldn’t hurt either.
Well, let's just say the highlight of my day was being awakened by Manix.
Niki groaned sympathetically at the thought of the over eager canine. She shook her head, her brown black hari billowing in the wind. “I will never know how you deal with him.” She commented with concern. “I’m only glad Molly and Carter aren’t so proactive.” Her eyes sparkled and she laughed a little bit. She loved her dogs to bits but she could honestly say getting woken up by them early wouldn’t be a thrill. Of course, they both jumped in her bed at some point during the night which woke her up. However, the warmth of her pack-mates quickly lulled her back to sleep.
