The game room had already been set up, that had been yesterday’s task, and the next thing on Dominic’s list was to get the two girls that would be participating in the games this time. He was not looking forward to this part at all. He didn’t like being near girls. They made him nervous, and he didn’t like being nervous. Sighing to himself, he walked as silently and slowly as possible to the first girl’s room, Vixen, wondering how he had gotten stuck with getting the participants and bringing them to the games. Marshal was in this one with him also, why couldn’t he have done it? Shaking his head, he stopped in front of Vixen’s dorm. He read the number on the door to double check that he was at the right dorm, and let himself in. upon entering the room, he quickly found exactly who he was looking for. Vixen Washington. Walking closer to the girl who was laying on the bed, he noticed that she was in fact asleep. That was good, it was always more difficult when they were awake. With a small wave of his hand, he made her fall into a deeper sleep, so that she wouldn’t wake up for at least another five hours, plenty of time. He was very glad that he was a witch right now, so he wouldn’t actually have to carry her, it wasn’t that he didn’t want to, it was that he didn’t want to touch a girl without their permission. With another wave of his hand, the girl was floating in the air, and muttering something under his breath, he made it so that she would float behind him.
Walking out of the room, he made sure to close the door, he didn’t want someone sneaking into her room after all. Now off to fetch Ebony. This one would require more work, Vixen was human and humans were extremely easy to get, Ebony was another witch, but Dominic knew how to counter any spell or potion, and how to bind her powers for the next twenty-four hours if he really wanted to. Reaching her room, he pushed the door open, not even bothering to walk in, he summoned Ebony to him with a spell muttered under his breath, and made sure that she was knocked out cold. Whispering something over the girl he waved his hand again. Now she wouldn’t be able to use any magic for up to twelve hours. Making sure that she didn’t have anything in her pockets or hidden anyplace on her person, he waved his hand and made her float behind him like Vixen was currently doing.
Now to just get back to the game room, well the one that they were going to be using. Though they were technically using two. It didn’t take that long, or at least it didn’t seem to, but Dominic had a tendency to speed up his movements if it was taking to long without realizing it. Opening up the door to where the girls would be, he walked in, making sure that the girls got to the floor safely without falling. The room they were now in was a complete maze, with three different choices for a path already in front of them. The room was almost pitch black also, it only had a dim eerie glow for a light. In the maze -which they couldn’t see just yet, they wouldn’t be able to see that until they actually started playing the game- there are death traps almost everywhere you turn. You could turn a corner and fall into a hole full of knives, or you might be safe, sometimes you have to choose between two doors, and one will bring you safely to the next hallway (or if you’re lucky, out of the maze all together, but only one door does that) and the other will lead you into a room with a pool of acid covering the entire floor, except for a rickety bridge that could collapse at any second to get you to the other door. And other parts of the maze just have darts that fly out at you. This was going to be fun. For Dominic at least.
A small smirk curled onto his face, as he left the room, locking the door behind him. Now there was only one way out of the maze, and it was at the very end, and it wouldn’t be easy to get there. Making his way up a staircase to a room above the maze one, he walked into the control room. It controlled everything in the maze, the doors to open them, the darts, the lighting, everything. And it had a bunch of different screens so that they could see where the girls were at all times. Taking a seat in one of the spinning chairs that were in the room, Dominic let himself relax a bit. Now he just had to wait for Marshal to get here and the girls to wake, and they wouldn’t be waking up for at least five hours.

The last thing that she remembered was her head hitting the pillow with all that she had to think about it took her a while to fall asleep. But finally as she let her bright blue voids slide she thought of Marshall. That was a weird thing for her to do, seeing as he annoyed her so much. She would never admit that maybe somewhere deep down she kind of had a crush, but as long as she denied it everything would be fine. Biting her lip she shook her head trying to rid herself of such a thought and then reaching out to pull up the covers, her eyes closing finally to give way to a deep slumberous sleep.
What she dreamt exactly wasn’t to clear, it was something to do with a dark corridor, and there were people all around her only she couldn’t see them. She could hear them though, their snarls and laughs, the scoffing and chattering. She shied away only to find herself leaning against a wall that gave way to a pit. She felt herself falling, her hair whipped around her face. A scream caught in her throat and no noise came through. Grasping for something anything to save her to catch her she tried to look down into the darkness but there was nothing below her. It was like she would keep falling forever, looking up she saw the light from where she had fallen as it slowly got smaller and smaller in her sight.
The ground came up all too quickly; she would surely be dead after this fall. She would have picked up enough speed to kill her and this was the end. She hit the ground with a deep thud and felt all the air escape her lungs as she gasped for air, her eyes popped open as she looked around. This was not her room, she wasn’t in her bed, where was she? What was this place? The dream was something like this, a corridor dark and eerily lit. But there were no people here only one girl that lay beside her either knocked out or dead. Fearing for the worst she inched toward her teeth latching down on her lip as she reached out, only now realizing that her hand was shaking. Touching the girls skin she realized that it was warm and as she leaned over her she came to see that her chest was rising and falling shallowly.
Sighing with slight relief Vixen turned her head; there were dull walls and three paths to choose. What was she doing here, was this some kind of sick joke. The reality of the situation caught in her throat as she choked on the truth. She was in the games, this was all a game she was being watching for entertainment and she could die at any moment. Narrowing her eyes she coughed again catching her breath at the sudden realization, “fucking bastards” She spoke in a hard edgy voice, looking up around her knowing they were somewhere watching. Balling her hands into fists she pushing herself up onto her feet, she wasn’t scared well at least not yet. This wasn’t a time to be like that, she had heard what had happened in the games, the people that had died. She knew that if there was any way that she was going to survive she was going to have to keep her wits about her and concentrate on the task ahead.
It was weird that at this moment in time the one thing she was thinking about was Marshal. What was the point of such a thing, he didn’t care and she knew it. That was what she told herself she felt to, there was no reason to care about such a thing as that. He had his ‘kind’ and Vixen was one of a kind. She didn’t have many friends and you could see the reason. People didn’t like to put up with her attitude and she was more than happy to watch them leave, friends weren’t on her list of things to do. Pushing the thought of him from her head, she stepped forward her hands still shaking as she ran a hand through her hair pulling it up into a messy ponytail and then brushing her bangs from her face. Taking a few steps down the first corridor she tried to peer into the darkness but found that it didn’t work to well, the eerie lights didn’t help much either.
Glancing back at the girl that still lay unconscious on the floor she looked back to the path, which would be a smarter choice. Yes Vixen was thick headed, she liked to do things on her own, but when it came to something such as this she would put aside her attitude and maybe the two of them could work together to get out of this place. Stepping back out of the corridor with a last look she made her way back over to the girl and slid down the wall a few feet from her leaning her head back and closing her eyes. This wasn’t going to be easy and all she tried to think about now was trying to get out, she wouldn’t let this thing beat her, well at least she would try her hardest not to
