What was it about him that made her unafraid that he would kill her? She knew of his past, well not firsthand but mostly from others and she doubted that those were rumours, well since meeting him she agreed that the shoe did fit and therefore he was more interesting than anyone else that she had ever met. In all truth there was something that she couldn’t put her finger on that made it unable to look away from him for longer than a few seconds, there was something that made her drawn to him rather than scared and running. Maybe it was that in a way she didn’t fear death because to her life had gotten just about as bad as it could and then again she was absolutely terrified at the idea. Whatever the reason she hadn’t run from him yet but she wouldn’t mind knowing if the rumours were true, about his past. What better way they to learn firsthand, then again she didn’t know if she would just get her head bitten off in response.
The ground came closer and closer as her bare feet finally touched the rough dull grey bottom of the pool, her head rate dropped as she huffed a silent sigh of relief hoping that he wouldn’t hear it and ask about it. She had never found it easy to talk to anyone about her past, about her fears of the dark that someone was out there still. For all she knew he was still alive and angry that she didn’t die that night. Immediately she pushed those thoughts from her mind, her eyes dropping to the surface of the water as she ran a hand through her hair a bad habit when she was nervous. Those memories had made her nervous but she was hell bent on not letting him see. “Are you just going to tread water out there all night?” She asked with a smirked, her wet bangs falling into her eyes as she brushed them to the side and then watched him, her blue eyes sparkling with interest.
“It might make this night a little more interesting” In her voice it was a given that she didn’t think that this night was boring but really what did she have to lose. Nothing that was true, she only had Tay and it was her life she could do with it what she wished. If he killed her then there wouldn’t be many to miss her, to say the least. Really she didn’t care and as she spoke those words her eyebrow raised as if to ask, ‘what you don’t think I can handle it’ she was testing him seeing how far he would go and it was certain that she knew the consequences to her actions.

She would be so easy to kill, it would be like snapping a twig off a branch. To a vampire she was so fragile, despite how she tried to dispute it. Being so close to him her scent was intoxicating, but that was not the only thing, there was something else about her that kept him standing there - or rather, swimming there - instead of walking off in boredom as he usually would have done by now. It was obvious she was interested in him, the way she looked, even her heart gave her away. As usualhe wondered why. Women often came to him, although it was obvious that he was not polite to them, obvious that he would be in for a casual fuck and nothing more. Hell, he didn't even bother calling them or asking them how they were. Yet they continued coming, like he was a new movie that people were itching to see even when the rating was shit.
Slowly, ever so slowly as she moved out of the murky water he thought he could see what was happening. the further she got out, and the lighter the water became, the more she relaxed. It almost appeared as if she was afraid of the dark water, as if someone was about to burst out of it and attack her. Briefly his eyes narrowed in speculation as he wondered at this thought, those kind of fears do not magically appear but they are manifested by something in your past. He wouldn't know as the only thing in his past that had been remotely frightning, was himself. But he had experience with other people's fears. Now that he had a speculation into Vixen's fear, he wanted to know more, he needed to know more. It was like an addiction.
At her question he raised a sinle eyebrow and let the crooked smile once again flash upon his lips. Not bothering to swim out of the pool, he simply moved to the edge and effortlessly heaved himself out. This put him on the same side of the pool as she was and as she started speaking again he started slowly makign his way toward her. Marshal must have looked like a character out of a movie at this point, what with his messy black hair hanging in front of his eyes, his muscular body dripping wet. But Marshal never cared how anyone else saw him, only his opinion and his thoughts mattered. When he was a couple of feet away from her he let his eyes slide cooly over her body, then his eyes flicked back to her face and he smirked. "Oh? Well, enlighten me as to what would make this night more ... interesting, for you." The sarcasm dripped from his tones however there was diluted curiosity hidden beneath the tones.
It had been a long time since he had even considered 'playing' with a human, a long time since he had tried seducing one. Yet he had no doubt that he could. Marshal never lost a touch for any of his talents.

Her mind wandered out to the water, that cold black deep water. She knew how easily it would be to just give up and let it take her over. She could live by herself never coming out of her room and never worrying that anything would happen to her because no one would think that she was even alive, and right now here she was letting her hands touch the surface of the water as she turned around in a circle just watching the water ripple out from her thin body and then biting her lip as she watched him come closer. He was moving toward her one second and then pulling himself out of the pool almost effortlessly.
Her eyes couldn’t help but watched the water run off his pale skin as he moved along the pool deck toward her. She tried to look away and the only thing that she could do was look down at the water. Flicking her fingers under the water she crossed her arms and scrunched up her toes making it look like she wasn’t watching him a second ago. He was an ass and she wasn’t going to let him think that she actually cared what he thought about her. There was no point for Vixen to actually like someone like him anyways; they were just not that kind of people. Vixen wasn’t someone that a guy like him would and like and she doubted that a vampire would ever be with a human. What was she even talking about; Vixen was out of her mind even thinking about something like that. Why would she let those thoughts even run through her head, she was digging herself into a hole she wouldn’t easily get out of.
Sliding toward the edge of the pool she let her hands run through her wet hair as she looked up into his eyes and smiled softly and yet sensually. Her hands rested on the edge of the pool as she bounced a little pulling herself out of the water with some difficulty. She wasn’t as strong as she thought when it came to that, lifting herself off the ground she now stood a few feet from him. That smirk was evident and she was trying not to let it get to her, “Well I already told you one of my idea’s” She said as she slipped past him, her warm skin brushing his cold arm as she glanced over her shoulder, “I also like moonlit walks on the beach” She said with a roll of her eyes, “kidding” Her voice was song like as she played it a little lighter than before.
In Vixen’s opinion she couldn’t just judge him from what she had experienced when she first saw him. They had talked and it wasn’t like that anymore and yet somehow she wished it was. She didn’t want to think of anyone as a friend or heaven forbid, even more. That was the last thing she needed, “I do like popcorn though” It was random and I guess when Vixen ‘warmed’ up to someone she made comments like that. She was making her way back to her clothes a she bent down facing away from him and lifted then off the ground. Pulling her sweater on over her wet cold skin she shivered at the breeze zipping it up and wrapping her arms around her thin body as she looked over at him now standing ten or so feet from her.

Those who were scared of the dark had a reason to be so, even if they were unaware what they needed to be scared of. Vampires, Werewolves, Demons ... there was so much in this world that could kill you without a single thought and without even feeling remorse once you were dead. The dark held many beasts and each of those beasts held a power you needed to be wary of. So, were you right in being afraid of the dark? Yes, because it was right to fear what could kill you. But there was one problem, when those hunters fed off fear? Where did that leave you?
Her hand circled the water, keeping it moving as if that would distil the thought that anythig would come out of it. As her eyes watched him coming closer he smirked slightly when she bit her bottom lip. She was afraid of him and although she may not want to admit it. Her body betrayed her emotions and betrayed her thoughts so it was that Marshal could almost read her like a book, it was laughable to watch. The way she tried to defend her actions by making it look as if she hadn't been staring was amusing to him, she was like a little child trying to cover up the fact that it was actually she who spilt the milk on the floor. Marshal's head was begging him to comment on it, but he merely kept the lopsided smirk upon his lips and ignored what his head was trying to make him do. It would make her feel bad to point that out - not that that should matter to him. No, it didn't matter to him.
The smile she gave him caught him off gaurd, it was too nice, too different to when she had been trying to mimick his smirk. Marshal found himself wondering why. Why was she still here, why had she not run away yet, why she smiled at him like that? It was strange to him, it was foreign for anybody to feel inclined to spend tiime with him. The Squad members did not count, they were like a dysfunctional family and they had to stick together. They had no choice for they all protected a secret that was vital to their safety, not that anybody would dare to attack Marshal or those under Marshal's protection, it was death to even attempt that.
His eyes lingered on her body as she pulled herself out of the pull with a little strain. And as she started walking towards him, he could not help but notice that even she - a human - looked stunning when she was dripping wet. Although she spoke as she was walking past him he didn't notice that for suddenly she brushed her arm against his own and he inhaled her scent, it was ... beautiful. It was the first time since he met her that he had the desire to kill her, not because she was annoying but simply because she was almost too enticing to keep alive. "I have an idea." He spoke with something of laughter in his words although he tried to restrain that as he turned back to face her.
When she turned back to him fully dressed he couldn't help but feel a little dissapointed, he himself did not bother to put his hirt back on just yet, he simply stood there topless with his pants dripping wet. He closed the gap between them so that he could havve reached out and touch her if he so desired. "You can tell me about yourself." She wouldn't have been expecting that, i don't think anyone ever expected a comment like that from Marshal.

What was it that really did keep her here, was it the fact that despite her fears of so many things this was the one thing that intrigued her at the same time as it scared her? Well that could be a plausible reason for all that was happening, but to tell you the truth it more because she knew that one day she was going to die, one day it was going to happen and there was nothing wrong with that. In reality some people never came to terms with their fate, death wasn’t something many people thought about. But Vixen thought about it all the time, it was something that filtered through her mind on a daily basis and sometimes more often than that. I guess it was odd seeing as she should be scared of such a fate but she was interested in it more than anything and I guess that could be her demise. After all, if you play with fire you’re bound to get burnt.
Her eyes flitted over the pool deck as her feet carried her effortlessly across it. She saw his eyes on her body; she knew he was watching her. There was a weird look in his eyes he had only had it a couple time since they had met tonight but it made her wonder what he was thinking. She wanted to ask but she knew the answer wouldn’t be what she wanted it would just be a regular Marshal answer. Was there anything wrong with that, no there wasn’t but it wasn’t what she wanted to hear? Looking over her things she knew everything was going to be there and yet she did it without thinking. The hoodie wasn’t zipped up all the way you could still see her bra and her underwear were the only other thing on so I guess you would say that she was half dressed. But man it really was cold out there and it was starting to make her shake.
Gritting her teeth she heard the laughter in his words and it confused her. She didn’t know what to think about something like that, as he neared her he entered her personal space and she didn’t find herself feeling the need to shy away from his presence there. That confused her to say the least, Vixen was scared but she didn’t let that stop her from answering him, “And why would the great Marshal care to hear about a mere human” Her words were joking. Her eyes sparkled as she looked up at him the laughter playing in them. She hoped it wouldn’t stop him from persisting she was only kidding with him but she was also serious at the same time. Why did he care, he was a human and she was sure that there were plenty more vampire girls that could hold his attention much easier than she did. Yet she found herself hoping that he didn’t choose that option that their conversation would continue.
“Well I’m seventeen, I’m a photographer, you already know I like popcorn and I...” changing her mind about her answer she quickly added “I can’t figure out why I haven’t run away from you yet” She said with a slight giggle, it was that or a long awkward pause. She had chosen to reply to his question before he even had time to retort about her comment. She was going to tell him anyways so why not tell him right now. I guess she just wanted to be the one to keep this conversation going, even though he wasn’t objecting to talk to her, “What about you, it’s your turn” She said looking up at him. The height difference was definitely quite noticeable. She was quite short and thin for her age, he was tall and well built, well in her opinion and I’m sure the opinions of many others.
